"Okay," he said, grabbing his things. "See you there."
"You had nightmares while I was away?" he asked, his head tilting with concern.
"Been kind of disappointed, but I suppose I would have understood," she said, her fingers delicate as they brushed his neck.
"Okay," he said. "Do you want me to pick you up, or do you want to drive?"
"I suppose that's a good thing, kind of." He raised an eyebrow. "If you so, then it's okay."
Her hand lightly touched the back of his neck, her fingers playing with his hair. "Good."
He continued modeling, using a reference to make it precise.
"Alright," he said. "I suppose I'll have to deal with that."
She reached up to kiss him. "Good. I love you."
"No," he said, "not really."
"Yes it is," he said. "I care about you."
"I hope not," she said. "Would you be okay with me becoming senile?"
He paused with his work for a moment, before continuing without looking at her. "Is it, though?"
"Have you tried seeing someone about that?" he asked, taking her hand. "It can be hard."
"Exactly. I will be forever young and clever!" She grinned. "Huzzah!"
"It doesn't matter. Accident or not it shouldn't happen." He frowned. "That should be clear."
"It felt like you saved me. You sure didn't let him get away."
"Pshhh. I'm never getting old. Ever."
"He shouldn't push you, or put his hands on you," he said casually.
