"Just because I just started dating you doesn't mean I don't know who you are. You're a good person."
"That's also a lie," he said. "You said I was your husband."
"I'm 17, not 300," he said flatly.
"I promise I won't," she replied, her voice sure. "I never will stop loving you."
He raised an eyebrow. "Liar."
"No. I don't like ten year olds."
She laughed brightly, kissing his nose. "I love you too, Jack Curnow."
"That's not the case," he said, frowning. "Though I wish it was."
"That's nice," he said, clicking his pen. "Anything else I need to know?'
"Because at one point I never thought I would."
"You're not helping your case."
"Yes. Like that," he said, resting his head on his hand. "Are you her sister?"
She smiled, her eyes bright. "Its nice to hear you say that."
"Like when I thought you were going to die," he said, frowning slightly.
He raised an eyebrow. "Hm.. the skeleton of a hand."
"I'm glad I have you, too," she said softly, looking up at him. "I love you."
"You do sometimes," he said. "Like today at the hospital."
He raised an eyebrow. "I'm her partner for an assignment."
"I told you last night I wouldn't torture you like that, so I won't," she said, wrapping her arms around his waist.
"I know," he said with a grin. "I still appreciate it."
