Francis frowned, his eyes narrow. "How unfortunate. I suppose I'll see you two tomorrow, then."
Once she pulled away, she looked at the ground. "Sorry," she murmured. "I get carried away."
He chuckled softly, kissing her temple. "It's okay. I was teasing. Do you want me to continue?"
Francis shot a look at Poppy, before turning back to Evan. "Better go," he said, his tone mocking. "Wouldn't want to disappoint anyone else yeah?"
She took his head in her hands, and grinned brightly, as if excited that she could. After a moment, she kissed him, her lips soft on his.
"Did you want nice things or not?" he asked playfully, putting his arm around her.
"Honestly, Evan. You're the only person I'd like to mess with," he said, standing his ground.
She kissed him back, her hands reaching up and lightly touching his shoulders. "I suppose that's what matters," she said softly. "Your opinion."
He smiled. "I care about you so much," he said. "It's impossible to put into words. Every moment I spend with you is absolutely amazing."
Francis scowled at him. "Just leave me the hell alone, Evan. It's that easy."
She looked up at him, her expression discernable. "I'm not perfect. I just wish I was perfect."
The eggs will never die!
"Well, I do," he said, looking up at her. "And I can't wait to start a life with you, either. It's going to be fantastic."
"Then stop," he suggested. "You're the one I don't like. Besides I can help them."
"Not good. Bad. I thought you'd like someone who's happy all time. I felt like I would just hurt you or drive you away."
"I know," he replied. "But still.."
He grinned, though it seemed forced. "Then don't mess with me."
"Of course I did- and do- but I felt the same way. I didn't think you would like someone like me."
"No," he said quietly. "I just miss you."
"Yes, you're being obnoxious. I'm going to make sure their futures are just fine, but right now you're just not understanding."
