"I can tell," she said. "Why'd you do it this time?"
"It's okay," he said. "They'll understand. I'd rather stay with you."
She looked at him, a small grin on her face. "You told me," she said quietly. "More than once."
"You didn't ruin it," he reassured. "It was the people who attacked you. We can always do it another day."
She nodded, looking at the ground. "That's right. I'm sorry."
"I'm gonna worry anyways. I can't help it."
"I was not drunk." She crossed her arms.
"It's bad, in my opinion. Probably because I care about you and I worry." He sat back. "I don't know. I'm just concerned."
She sighed, sitting cross-legged on the floor. "Why do you think?"
He frowned. "I don't want to be realistic. That's my answer."
"It was stupid of me. I'm sorry."
"Zero," he said smoothly, brushing back her hair. "That's the right amount."
"It's fine." She shook her head. "I should be the one apologizing. I guess I did it first."
"Second time over six months is too many times in my opinion." He moved to the side of her bed and kissed her cheek.
She frowned and leaned against the wall. "There may have been a kiss."
