"Are you sure?" he asked. "Cause I may be a bit bad."
"Nope! Never ever." She crossed her arms. "That was mean."
"I know, I know. I'm a terrible person." He rolled his eyes teasingly.
"I'm sorry," she said, then paused. "At least I apologize."
"I would make up an excuse. Sorry to say. I may be a fraud, too."
"It's totally fair. Besides, I was nice about it."
"Right, but he didn't," he said, pointing a finger. "I did not kill him."
"Yep. I know. I'm just making up for teasing from earlier." She raised an eyebrow.
"I totally beat up your crazy ex," he smirked. "Twice."
"I agree," he laughed. "You managed to steal my heart."
"You're a dork," she joked, patting his head. "I love it."
"It's okay. I know you're, like, a fighting machine now, but I'll be able to handle it," he teased, brushing back a lock of her hair.
"Good," she said. "It's like our own mini adventure, yeah?"
"It's okay. People make mistakes. Sometimes really annoying ones, y'know?" He smiled. "I can dismiss them, mostly."
"Oh, neat. Do you mind if I join you?" she asked, grinning at him.
