He closed his eyes, his head resting on top of hers. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep, and soon his breathing slowed and he drifted off.
He kissed her forehead before placing his arms around her. "Goodnight. I love you."
He disappeared into the bathroom for a minute or two before returning. Sliding into bed next to her, he sighed, finally able to relax.
