Cal frowned, holding onto Ben's arm lightly. She squinted at Puck. "That's a bold thing to say for someone who can't beat me at arm wrestling."
He nodded slightly, his mouth set in a line. The world below was alive. There was music and dancing and drinking.
She squeezed his hand gently. "Right.."
His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked out. The sky was turning dark. "It is."
Her brows furrowed slightly. "Yeah.."
Zerras followed her slowly, his brows furrowed as looked around with a small frown.
She frowned at him, her brows furrowing. "He did..?"
He looked over at her thoughtfully, nodding slightly. The sun was beginning the set and stars were visible on the horizon. "Okay.."
She relaxed, looking back again nervously.
"I wouldn't decide against it," he said warmly. "It's up to your mother."
"C'mon, Puck. Let's just leave it be.'
He raised an eyebrow at her. "What about the farm?"
"I don't want to risk anything, Puck," she said quietly.
They made it back to the city. It was almost sunset but the it was lively as ever.
She nodded slightly, glancing over at Puck.
"It's okay," he said honestly, shaking his head, "don't worry."
