He didn't seem convinced, but looked over at her with a frown. "Can you walk?"
"It's okay, Ben. He's not really being mean."
"No," he said quietly, his brows furrowed. "You shouldn't have gotten hurt. I should've been more careful."
"I don't trust it," she said anxiously, "but I don't want to freak out."
He was strangely quiet, putting the bandages away and dropping his hands as he finished.
She huffed, squinting at him. "I know they're not."
He didn't say anything, a frown set on his face. He turned to her, moving to patch up her legs.
She squinted at it. "Okay. Hopefully they're friendly enough."
"It.. It shouldn't have happened to you," he said with a frown, pulling out the bandages.
They continued on. Cal didn't seem to mind the heat, but she did take of her coat.

She nodded slightly, going silent again.
Zerras approached the shore, looking around nervously. "I don't know." They touch the sand and slowly they would feel their normal legs return.
She laughed a little, but sounded somewhat resigned. "Summer was always your favorite.."
He looked worried, his hand holding hers as they went back to the docks.
Cal squinted up with a small frown. "Hot.."
His eyes widened slightly when he saw her, and he went to check on the wound to see how bad it was.
