He took his own food. The sky was a pinkish red as the sun set, their fire beginning to cast shadows. He ate quietly, his legs folded.
She nodded, folding her hands anxiously.
He nodded slowly, pulling their food off the fire and offering hers. "It was. We'll figure out how to head to Ozepan tomorrow."
She nodded, looking anxious. "I'd like to go as as possible."
She looked afraid. "We have to go, Ben.."
He blinked in surprise, watching her with a furrowed brow. He said nothing, turning back to the fire with a small flush.
"I didn't recognize it," she said, still seeming distressed. "It was.. whispery.. Mechanical almost. It sounded like there was a lot of them."
He looked down at her in surprise, his head tilting slightly.
"My vision went fuzzy," she said quickly, "and then there was a voice in my head."
He leaned slightly into her touch momentarily. "Yeah, it is.'
She shook her head. "No it's not! We have to go now, Ben!"
He laughed slightly, looking up at her. "I know."
"Ben, we have to go. We have to go now," she pleaded, her voice shaking in panic.
He raised an eyebrow at her delicately, but his expression was affectionate. "Does it seem that way? I'm not tired."
"There was this voice!" she exclaimed, her hands on her head. "It was telling me the Ortus is in danger! To return to the Ortus." She faltered....
He looked over at her in surprise. "Huh? Why wouldn't I be?"
"It- The Ortus! Something is wrong," she said urgently, dashing past him. "We have to go to the Ortus!"
He began to cook their food, stretching his neck tiredly.
Her eyes widened and she looked around fiercely. "Ben!" she called. "Ben!"
