She nodded in agreement. "I'm fond."
"I don't know, this sounds like a common thing," he said, "but your village isn't only elves."
"Because I like you," she said warmly, nudging him.
He frowned slightly, watching ahead. "What about the non-elves?"
"You do help," she told him, going to sit as well. "I feel better when I'm with you."
He nodded slowly, considering the idea. "That sounds nice.'
She looked up again. "What? No, he's not mad about that. I'm just saying."
He listened in interest, going quiet.
She was quiet, exhaling slowly. "I want this to end and I want you to be free from this cell.."
"I'm.. not really sure. What's elf culture like?"
She looked up at him with a frown. "Sort of.."
He nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Is that okay?"
She watched his hand drop with a small frown. "Just.. the whole situation."
He looked back at her. "So tell me about yourself."
"No, I.. I want to leave him alone. I feel like it's better that way, right now."
They kept walking, eventually they made it out of the deeper forest and found a wide dirt path to follow.
"I don't even know what to talk about," she said honestly, putting her hands on the sides of her face. "I don't know."
"I'm sure we will find some interesting places."
She looked up at him nervously, her gaze soft. "I'm just confused on a lot of things right now."
