She looked thoughtful. "We use colored ribbons, mostly.. Uh, touching, kissing the face.. Stuff like that."
"I don't, but if it's out of the woods then I doubt it'll be one."
She came in and sat next to him with a small frown. "Huh."
She seemed intrigued, her eyes bright and curious. "Dates and flirting? What do they say?"
He looked down at her with a small frown, tilting his head curiously. "Probably not."
"I do?" she asked curiously. Her head tilted slightly. "How do humans express interest?"
He frowned at her. "I'm okay. Maybe there will be a village once we get through the forest."
"Ben, you're really pushing your luck here," she teased.
He nodded slightly, shifting his grip on the scythe. "Yeah, probably."
She flushed and rolled her eyes. "Oh, stop."
He laughed a little, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah. That's interesting."
She couldn't stop the smile. "I'm looking."
He laughed. "How would they look?"
She looked up, resting her hands over his. "Don't apologize. I'm just worried."
"Bone," he said, "keratin.. I don't know."
She looked down. "It sounded really bad.."
He reached up and tapped them. "No, not really."
