"No," he replied honestly. "You'll just never know."
"You should sleep," she said gently. "We should both sleep."
"Because I'm not hungry," he told her flatly.
She watched him, her expression relieved to see him, but worried. She leaned forward, hugging him again.
That stubborn expression already came back, and he moved to cross his arms. "I'm not."
She looked up at him tiredly, her gaze soft. "I missed you too."
He groaned, running a hand through his hair. "Then we ought to camp. It'll save money."
She looked nervous, but relented. "..Okay. Okay.. but we have to talk tomorrow."
"I don't want it to be up to me," he told her stubbornly. "It's your money."
She looked like she might start crying. "No they didn't, Puck. I'm telling the truth. Their people are suffering."
He nodded slowly, following her to the next shop. "Should we set up a camp in the outskirts tonight?"
She took his hands. "I'm serious, Puck. Magyck isn't being equally distributed! We're getting way more than them.."
He raised an eyebrow, turning his head away. "I'm tired and I want to find a clue."
She looked distressed. "He's not bad, it's just.. The human kingdom is really suffering because of us and their king. Their king is really mean.."
He frowned, looking down at her. "Why wouldn't I be?"
She looked up at him gently. "No.. I wasn't hurt or kept in a cage. Ben made sure I was okay, he.." she frowned at the thought of him," he taught...
He nodded, heading out. They began walking on the dirt path again.
"I'm okay," she said quietly. "I'm okay. God, I missed you."
"But nothing we're looking for," he said with a sigh. "Let's go."
Her eyes widened and she didn't hesitate to dash forward and hug him, her face buried in his neck.
