She took it carefully before gesturing the direction. "He's over at that desk."
He shrugged a little. "Just on edge, I guess.'
Cal came out from the shelves, looking curious.
He looked at the fire. "No, I'm a little worried."
She frowned slightly, reading in silence before carefully putting it back and standing up again.
He tilted his head, looking a little confused. "It worked fine.."
She picked the book on fairy wings and sat against the wall, opening it curiously.
He looked over at her with a frown. "What do you mean?"
She got up, going to look around. She seemed a little distressed, but hoped this would help calm her down.
"Hi," he said, offering her the kite with a small frown.
"Can I look around the library?" she asked, her brows furrowed.
He watched it go for a moment before realizing the fire was going and brought it back down, heading over.
She looked conflicted. "I don't know if I'm in a good enough mood to do it effectively."
He frowned, going a short distance away before trying to set it to the sky.
She didn't say anything, still looking a little melancholy. "Right."
He gave her the items, taking the kite and inspecting it curiously.
"Knowing what I know now, yes. But this kind of feels like you're going to use me getting behind it to justify you keeping me here."
She deadpanned, watching him silently before speaking up. "Wow. That really helps."
He watched for a moment before looking back down at the campfire with a tired sigh, trying to start a fire.
