He shrugged. "Let's look."
"It was only my job, pretty much. Besides, I got a new one. And so did you."
He laughed a little, leaning back after they pulled away. "Want to watch a movie?"
She looked over at him again, tilting her head slightly. "I don't want you to feel guilty.. Leaving was necessary."
He leaned into her touch quietly. "..I love you."
"Not at all," she agreed. "I'm starting to warm up to it a bit."
He laughed embarrassedly, looking down at her. "Thanks.."
"Of course," she said. "Don't worry."
He stroked her hair gently, going quiet.
"I'm used to it," she said. "Don't worry."
He laughed, coming around and sitting, taking her in his arms.
She squinted. "So do you."
"It doesn't hurt me," he said with a small shrug.
She gave him a small smile. "Any time with you is time well spent."
He shrugged slightly, standing straight and coming to the couch. "You don't have to."
"I'd like to walk," she said. "That sounds nice."
"It's just not my cup of tea. I don't care if you like it as long you don't make me eat it."
She reached up and took his hand, squeezing it gently before letting go.
He squinted. "I don't care if you like pineapple."
She leaned forward as well to meet him across the table. After a moment she pulled away, watching him gently. "I do love you."
