She laughed warmly. "Yeah. Let's take a look."
"That was just the last time," he said flatly. "I didn't lose my virginity to her."
"I've been betrayed," she said dramatically.
"She was average," he said thoughtfully. "It was awhile ago, so her face is kind of a blur."
She rolled her eyes playfully. "I know, but I can't believe you thought I said her being homeless was good."
"I have!" he cleared up, sounding embarrassed. "Just.. Not with someone I care so much about. Sorry, I should have been more clear."
She nodded slowly. "Right.. And she's not actually homeless."
"It's not that," he said, "I just haven't.. Well.."
She frowned at him. "No. About the scholarship. Jesus, Ferris. Doesn't she have somewhere to stay right now?"
He laughed as well. "Maybe a little."
She looked back at him. "Well, that's good to hear."
"Only if you want it to be," he teased, going to figure out the power and water.
"This place is amazing," she said, clearly a little distracted. "I really am so happy for you that you've been doing well."
He laughed warmly. "Ah, shoot. Next time."
She looked around wide eyed as she stepped in. "Oh wow, Fer.."
"What are you wearing?" he asked playfully, his voice low and teasing as he grinned.
She followed, looking up at him curiously.
He cleared his throat in embarrassment. "I mean.. Where at?"
She squeezed his hand. "It's really nice here."
She would hear the small smile in his voice. "Where are you?"
