I'm up for trialing this new thread but I still don't see why the current thread just can't be moderated. And if you have to, then just close the GCT. Don't remove it completely or else that's months of EP history gone to waste.
I wonder how many separate topics there has been in that entire thread...hmm... Yeah, replacing it sounds fine. I don't know why, it just does.
Surely if the RT chat renders the GCT useless, then the nature of the site will take it's course and it will just get buried under the active threads. But if the GCT is still being used, then there's no need to replace it.
The GTC thread is not getting deleted, at worst it'll be locked from further posts (and replaced). Also this discussion is way off topic now, - Concerning the chat it'll have both a RP channel and a General Chat channel and should be arriving any time now.
It'd be entirely possible to have those. lol Though yeah... This isn't Facebook. :derpe: But there might be enough room to have little paragraphs on the left that says some things. Like whatever they want to put there, or maybe even a small description of themselves... Actually, I say we should have that Grey. Small things on the left where they can have a small paragraph.
In the postbit (where your avatar is?) - There's actually several third party solutions already.. I probably wouldn't even have to do it myself, the status thing. I'm not sure though.
Yes. The postbit. With a place to put a description about you, it'll also let other ponies learn more about you.
I wasn't keen on the status thing but that I'm veryhesitant about that, the postbit isn't really designed for big walls of text. I guarantee it'll look untidy. You have sigs, ya know?
But sigs are always at the end of posts and are to more-or-less sign your posts. I'm only talking about a small paragraph, like maybe only 5-6 lines long, so that ponies can state small things about themselves. OH! And you reminded me on something. I don't know if it's just me, but I've been seeing a bunch of sigs being cut off at the bottom. Like my sig has more info, but it's cutoff at the bottom.
