Snow looked around as she got bearing of her surroundings, tears making her eyes shine and dance in the light, before she noticed somepony was talking to her. Snow turned towards the voice to see Eluuna, "Oh...hi...And I guess not...Today was supposed to be a good day...First day off ever...And I've only gotten heckled and painful reminders instead..." She replied simply...
She gave a little sigh. "Look, I'm sorry about that, OK? I just... I have a painful history with corporations."
Snow gave Eluuna a small look a curiosity before understanding, "It's okay.. I understand... I know personally how hard it is to move on from pain..." snow followed that up by a small, but significant gesture of drawing her hoof across her chest, a symbol from the Mark family passed down from even before the founding of Equestria, as a sign of mourning. The Last of The Marks...Little Snow Mark to Inherit Father's Company After Deadly Magical Accident...Snow Mark: Tycoon, or Murd- Snow suddenly shook her head, trying to shake the headlines out of her head, headlines she saw in the paper 8 years ago, ones that have followed her all her life, just like her parents' final, terrified expressions right before the-
Her instincts were screaming at her to break the newcomer in half. Her father would be proud, but a warrior's instincts had very little place in everyday life. With some difficulty, Nightshade remained calm. "Miss Mark and I were simply making some plans for this evening. Whoever you are, she obviously knows you, so could you tell her to meet Nightshade outside the restaurant at six? I'd tell her myself, but I simply cannot leave my students waiting any longer."
Snow gladly flopped down on the bench and held her head in her front hooves, trying not to fully cry, "I remember why I don't take days off now..." She muttered to herself, "Everything catches back up to me...My life...it's all running...running from the hate and hurt...and that day..." She whimpered out
''Of course, i will tell her, if she shows up.'' He sighed. ''But something tells me i won't be able to meet her before six.'' Saul turned towards the bakery's street. ''I think i know where she left.'' He looked at the mare. ''Name's Saul, by the way.''
"I'm Nightshade. Nice to meet you, Saul. If you do see her, give her my message. If you don't... well, I guess I'll just have to hope she shows up." Nightshade gave Saul a quick farewell nod and flew off towards her dojo. She was already several minutes late.
Saul nodded as Nightshade left. ''See ya around.'' He then went down the hill, and trotted to the Bakery. Just to be sure, he scanned the area with his magic. The dark glow could be visible, even under his hat. As he thought, it pointed towards the bakery. But why as she returned there? For that empathic mare? She did looked like a nice pony to talk to, when emotions would take over. Than it striked him: she didn't seemed upset. She seemed... Sad. He remembered, back in Canterlot. Her father... Saul ran to the bakery. He hope it wasn't too late.
Eluuna was quiet, waiting for Snow to go on. When she didn't, she opened her mouth to speak, and looked up to see a pony running towards them.
Just before he went onto the stage, Crimson was held back by the bar manager. The sharply dressed middle aged mare asked him to perform at six o’ clock and made him a headline act instead of a minor act. Crimson was very pleased about his news, but knew that he was still importantly, performing for the crowd. He still would now be performing half an hour later, not that it bothered him much. The unicorn was now starting to draw a crowd, and knew that his work would pay off.
Several of her students had been upset by her tardiness, but Nightshade had managed to convince them that she had arrived late on purpose, and spent the rest of the afternoon teaching them about the importance of patience to a martial artist. It actually turned out to be one of her more successful sessions, and she resolved to use the same technique on her other students. When the class was over, she locked up the dojo and headed to the restaurant. She hoped that Snow would decide to show up, as the poor mare had looked like she really needed a night to relax. It was only five-thirty, so Nightshade decided to wait outside for awhile.
(So I wake up to 6 more pages) "My names Silver Past by the way. I'm the history teacher over at the secondary school. This gift was my grandma's she would of given it to my mum but she has no interest in jewellery unlike me. You are?" Silver was genuinely interest in getting to know Golden. Hoping that later she would leave with a new friend or possibly something better.
(Don't worry, it happens all the time.) Saul stopped a few meters from the bakery. Why was he being so pushy? He usually was so patient. And, the more he'd push, the more risks she'd talk about him. So, why was he still trying so hard? He saw her, alomng with that empathic seller. She looked like she was crying. His eyes met the empathic mare's. He knew he screwed up, but thoses eyes told him he'd better leave. So he walked away.
Narrowleaf poked his head over the bar's counter. "L-Lenny..." he said, to a large, burly biker. "Make s-s-sure no fights break o-out... Please..." Narrowleaf hurdled himself over the counter and darted out of the bar. "I w-w-wonder where..." he paused, midthought. "Is that... M-Miss Snow crying?"
Crimson watched as comedy acts and musical duo's went back and forth from the stage, each of them receiving an applause. Now that he was apparently being a headline act, he was likely going to receive a much larger crowd than the other acts. He did watch this comedy band go through, and could not help how talented and humorous they were, even their name Ninja S** Ponies received a laugh across the bar. Crimson hummed in seemingly perfect harmony while strumming his guitar, the beautiful voice without being spoken causing other headline acts to turn around surprised. Knowing he was likely not going to eat after his act and that he would feel sick on stage if he had nothing to eat, the Unicorn had his meal. The sun was starting to set as the night began to take effect. Crimson was soon ready to perform, and hopefully he received a good reception. After all, he did leave his own hometown to start his life's second chapter.
(( xD Yeah, they've been busy )) Gilden nods, "I'm Golden Nugget, Most call me gold, some call me Nugget" She chuckles lightly to herself, "It should be pretty easy to fix, I mean it should take an hour at most" She looked around at the tools she had, putting the ones she didn't need, away in drawers neatly. And began setting up the framing and such.
"So, how long have you had this business and how long have you been doing it? Because the jewellery I've seen are Canterlot High street standard." Silver was generally intrigued into getting to know Golden and certainly wasn't going to leave anytime soon.
Golden shrugged, beginning work, "I've only had the business a couple of years, got it as part of my Grandfather's inheritance, but I've been doing gold-working and jemcraft since I was a little filly" She had a slight interest in Silver, "What about you? How has your teaching been going?"
