Snow raised an eyebrow at Nightshade, "Yea?" She asked, "What are you suggesting?" She set down the fork she was about to take a bite off of, "Are you suggesting something?" ********** Red stumbled into the restaurant, holding his head that was slightly wrapped in guaze, "Damn those new contracts..." He muttered to himself as he approached the hostess, waving off her obvious question of if he was alright, "Just...Find me a seat please...I need a drink..." He muttered, the hostess gave him a strange look before grabbing a menu and leading him to the bar. Sitting down, he quickly ordered a beer and turned to look at the restaurant's crowd, his eyes quickly picking out the white mare he loathed so much who wanted to buy out his business, his face gave her a quick death glare before turning back around to take a swig of his beer, then suddenly something crossed his mind. He turned back around to see Ms. Mark talking to another mare, somepony he reconized, one of his previous clients, wanted him to design a dojo or something, "Hm..." He muttered before turning back around to take another drink of his beer.
Nightshade had been trained to fight by the greatest swordspony in Equestria. She had faced off against Hydras, Dragons, and even an Ursa Major. She was strong. She was determined. She was fearless. She was also more nervous than she had ever been in her entire life. "Oh dear... I've really messed up this time..." Stumbling over her words, she finally blurted out, "Snow, will you go out with me on a date tomorrow night?" She then immediately began praying to be struck by a random falling meteorite, because it would have been preferable to how awkward and confused she was feeling at that moment.
Snow was rendered absouletely speechless, "I..." She stammered out, "Uh..." Snow bit her lip, then looked at Nightshade, "Um...I really don't..." She muttered, "I really don't know what to say...I mean...I barely know you...." She looked around nervously, then noticed a certain blue stallion, that Red Glory who refused her offers so many times, all very rudely. Narrowing her eyes as her business side kicked in, she suddenly got up, "Excuse me, but I have a score to settle." She said bluntly to Nightshade and walked straight towards Red, determined to get him to give in, or at least get a taste of his own medicine, but was stopped just before reaching him by the apparent sad way his body language spoke ***** Red set down the beer he was just about to take a drink of as a thought crossed his mind, just how damn lonely he was, sighing as he looked down. He wasn't exactly the nicest of guys though...working in the construction industry and refuses Mark Co's generous offers for his business, "Maybe..." He muttered to himself
"Well... that could have gone better..." Miserable and embarrassed, Nightshade quietly got up from the table, paid for her and Snow's meals, and left the restaurant. She had a lot to think about. After a short flight to clear her head, she headed back home, a small apartment above her dojo. A low growl greeted her as she walked in. "Calm down, Hemlock. It's just me." The massive Timber-Wolf picked up his head, looked at her sleepily to confirm that she not some kind of horrible axe-murdering intruder, and promptly returned to his dream. The Land of Giant Dancing Bacon was far more interesting than the pony he lived with, and he was not about to leave it before he had to. "A week..." Nightshade sighed, and threw herself onto the sofa. "I just have to avoid her for a week, and then she'll be gone, and I can forget that I ever did something so unbelievably stupid."
Snow picked up a hoof, then turned right away, to see if she could find Night, only to see an empty table, "Oh..." She muttered before slinking out of the restaurant, clearly saddened by Night's disappearance.
''How can i express it in words? After today's events, i thought i'd leave Ponyville. But your music proved me thag the ponies here could also be sane sometimes.'' He raised his head, ony to see Snow Mark, turning almost towards him. ''Well, thank you again for the music but it's time for me to repair my mistakes. Have a nice evening!'' With that, he slightly trotted to Snow.
Snow slowly trotted out of the restaurant, unaware of the stallion following her. She stepped outside and flopped down on a nearby bench, then she looked up to see Saul approaching her, "What? Here to stir up more bad memories?" She muttered, staring down at the ground, refusing to meet his gaze.
"please excuse me for that. I was thinking out loud... And you look like you need a drink." Envoyé de mon XT886 en utilisant Tapatalk
"Shame, when I finally save enough money. I'm going to go in the boutique and put a good word in." Silver said what she meant and poured another glass for herself and Golden. The waiter then returned carrying the starters. "Anything else madam's." The waiter asked in a Prench (France=Prance. French=Prench) accent. Silver just asked for some garlic mayo to cool the Cajun goujons down.
Snow waved it off, "No. I've had enough. At least while out in public." She muttered, then looked up into the sky, "This week has gotten off to a "great" start..." She muttered sarcastically
Still unhappy, Nightshade began getting ready for bed. As she did, she realized with horror that her necklace was missing. Made of Dragon-forged silver, it had belonged to her grandmother, and was more valuable than everything else she owned put together. Her mind raced. Where did she have it last? She thought back, and finally remembered a slight clinking sound as she got up to leave the restaurant. She groaned. The clasp must have come undone, and the necklace fallen to the floor. Nightshade had no choice. She could not lose the necklace. She would have to go back for it. Not even bothering to lock the door behind her, she flew as fast as she could for the restaurant.
Crimson's meal eventually made it to his table, and thanked the waitress. It was nothing complex, just an ordinary daisy sandwich. He then got himself comfortable as he seen the next act ready to prepare in the back. Just as he was about to take a bite, a light seemed to catch his eye. On the ground was a necklace, and appeared to be worth an extraordinary amount of bits, likely the amount of his salary for the next ten years. Not being selfish, he picked the necklace up and simply handed it over to the lost and found section of the restaurant.
''As you wish. If there's something- anything i could do to excuse my words...'' He sighed. ''I want to leave everything that happened in Canterlot, in Canterlot. I've came here for a new life, as you surely do. But, may i ask, why Ponyville? Why haven't you went to establish Mark Co in Appleloosa, as you were suggested?''
Snow chuckled, "Why? Let me make the answer simple for you. Appleloosa is growing, rapidly. Ponyville, not so much. Thus, it makes it more of a challenge to establish one's self and business in a town that tends to be very...static in that regard, and business naturally thrives on challenge. Also, it is close enough to Canterlot to where I can maintain constant contact with the corporate headquarters at Mark Tower, and makes travel to meetings there quicker, however, Ponyville is out enough in the country to where I get some peace and quiet to work, especially since I'm on the outskirts. Third, the ponies of Ponyville are nationally renown for their stubbornness and refusal to cooperate with big business and the industrial future, even more so since the whole Flim-Flam incident. If I can get Mark Co to industrialize Ponyville, then everypony will be willing to industrialize, and then Equestria will be slingshoted into the future in prosperity and power. But I can't really say much more, not out in public at least. Trade secrets and all."
"You need not do that Silver~" She smiles though, if that happened, it would help much, but Silver hardly needed to do such! She would smile, and thank Silver though, taking a sip of her glass... "Hmm... No thank you sir" She would say to the waiter, she honestly thought that sauces, were not the best things to put on foods, they were made to taste the way that they tasted. Why change it?
Nightshade flew as fast as her wings would carry her back to the restaurant. She saw that Snow was already outside, so she landed as close as she possibly could to the entrance and slipped inside. Not paying any attention to the ponies staring at her, she began frantically searching the floor near the table were she had sat.
Red payed for his beer and got up to leave when he noticed that one mare that was sitting next to Snow(who was now gone) searching frantically around their old table. Interested, he trotted up to her, "Excuse me, what exactly are you looking for ma'am?" He asked inquisitively, "Because if it's some kind of necklace, I saw a stallion just a few moments ago put it in the lost and found."
Nightshade looked up at the stallion, relieved beyond words. She smiled appreciatively, nodded, and rushed over to the hostess, who was already in the process of trying on the necklace. The young mare took one look at Nightshade's decidedly unamused expression, and returned it without a word. Pleased to have her most prized possession back around her neck, she trotted happily out of the restaurant, completely forgetting that she was trying to avoid somepony.
Saul shook his head negatively. "You thought you could lie to a psychologist who knows you? It's the first time you talk about your job without stars in your eyes. Let me ask again; Why Ponyville?
Snow gave Saul an unimpressed look, "I told you why. End of story." She said bluntly to him before getting up, "If you really want to do something HELPFUL, don't talk to me about my job, or Canterlot, or my parents. Got it?" She asked in an angry tone that was quite unlike her usual self and started to trot off.
