Still pleased that she had recovered her necklace so easily, Nightshade did not realize that she about to collide with another pony until she had already done so. "Sorry! I should have been..." She looked up to see whom she had run into, and froze. It was Snow, and she looked quite angry. Completely paralyzed with dread, Nightshade managed to let out a small nervous squeak, before lapsing into silence.
Saul followed. "Sensitive subject? Sorry again. It's job to know what worries you, Snow. You do know why. If you wish, I can leave you be and forget about your existence. It looks like I'd keep my promise to 'him' that way."
Snow never heard Saul's response due to the surprise bump in with Nightshade, "Night?! Where have you been?! Why did you just walk out?!" She asked quickly, "You had me worried! Did I make you mad or something with my non-answer?" She continued inquisitively, hoping that Night wasn't mad at her.
Snow's ear flickered at barley hearing what Saul said, spinning on her hooves to face him, nearly punching him with an accusing hoof, "You honestly think I came to Ponyville for a relationship?!" She nearly yelled at him, not really caring that's not exactly what he said, "I came to Ponyville because of what I did to my parents eight years ago! That smouldering ruin of a house drove me here! Drove me here and I've been working myself crazy trying to escape! Trying to make sure that my father could look down at me, and what I've done with his company, and forgive me! You are one terrible psychologist if you can't see that you worthless peice of...!" Snow suddenly stopped herself, tears suddenly filling her eyes and she simply collapsed to the ground, bawling her eyes out - - Auto Merge - - (I just imagined a Snow slapping Saul like that Batman slapping Robin thing with "MY PARENTS ARE DEEEAAAAAAAD" in the caption from Snow xD)
(I just pictured that, Lol) Crimson seen the fight happen on the other side of the restaurant as he went over to hand over a tip for his meal just before he left for home. He had seen a few of the ponies from the crowd, but the one that stood out was Ms. Mark, the pony that technically owns half of Ponyville. He wondered about why she came to Ponyville in the first place. Her first Vacation? Business? Or was it for different reasons entirely? Nonetheless, he did not wish to be harmed in any way if he were to enter a fight after all the shouting that came about. Then Snow collapsed onto the floor. Crimson stopped not far from her and looked at the ponies around the famous mare, hopefully being able to comfort her. "Oh dear." he said quietly, quite depressed at the sight around him.
Seeing Snow collapse snapped Nightshade out of her stupor. She laid a comforting hoof on Snow's shoulder, and glared at the pony responsible. Speaking calmly, in a voice dripping with venom, she addressed Saul. "It might be a good idea for you to walk away. Now." Turning her attention back to Snow Mark, she did the only thing that she could think to do, and hugged her.
Snow simply laid there as Night hugged her, crying and oblivious to the world. Memories of those anger last moments followed by a bright flash flooded her mind, the explosion that she caused accidentally due to her dabbling in essence magic that killed her parents. The memories simply rendered her unable to do anything but cry.
Saul looked away. "Remember, Snow, what I've told you before it all happened. I ain't your friend, even if I'd like to. I was and will always be there to tell you the harsh truth." Saul turned around, and saw the musician, looking at the scene next to him. He made a few steps in his direction, hesitated, then abruptely turned to walk towards the park. 'Why do I always screw everything with her?', he thought. 'She's still the same child she used to be, anyways. It's no use.'
Crimson watched Saul leave as the door shut behind him. As soon as he could, he walked towards Snow and knelled down besides her, trying to at least comfort her. It was the least he could do for somepony in need.
Nightshade found herself, once again, at a complete loss for words. The pony that she had felt such a confusing attraction to, the pony that caused her to make a total fool of herself, the pony that had rejected and humiliated her, lay weeping on the ground, lost in the memory of some unknown tragedy. She wanted to simply run away, but it would have been cruel to leave her there on public display. A small crowd was already gathering, and could hear the the click of a camera as somepony starting taking pictures. Nightshade calmly walked over to the photographer, a stallion that she recognized a freelance reporter for the Canterlot Tattletale, and took the camera away from him, smashing it on the ground. Clearly frightened, the foolish stallion said nothing, and backed away slowly. With that taken care of, Nightshade walked back to Snow. Gently, she lifted the insensible mare back to her hooves and guided her to a nearby bench. Sitting down next to her, she placed her hoof on Snow's, and waited for her to return from her memories.
Snow quietly suddenly slipped off the bench, still looking at the ground as she noticed the gathering crowd, which brought her back from her memories, snarling slightly, her horn suddenly lit up and a transparent dome appeared around Snow, Night, and unknowingly Crimson too. Snow, now satisfied with her privacy, turned towards Night, "I'm going home..." She muttered, "You mind coming with? I'm tired of having such a large house being so empty..." She continued, voice shaking from her crying
Saul didn't know what to think. He was sitting on the park's highest hill, looking at the sky. He hurt her again. He hated her familly. He used to consider her father as familly. But it was he who gave Saul a lab, a research team, and everything to destroy his old life. And it was he who psychoanalysed Snow after her unwanted murder. From the corner of the eye, a dome of light appeared. He didn't care much: he wanted to apologize to Snow, but he couldn't: There was no way she knew about him.anyways. She must've forgot, after all those years, what resulted of his experiments.
Nightshade hesitated. What if she embarrassed herself even worse? "Stop this," she thought angrily to herself. "Stop worrying so much! You know this is something that you want to do, so just calm down, and say 'yes.'" "If you want my company, I would be happy to join you." She smiled weakly, still screaming internally. "What is wrong with you?! You have never been a coward! Why does this mare terrify you so?!"
Snow smiled at Nightshade, "Thank you...That means a lot to me..." She said softly before placing a hoof on Night's shoulder and suddenly teleporting away with Night, causing the privacy done to dissipate and the crowd to be left standing around an empty area that only Crimson was in. Snow and Nightshade appeared inside her living room, just inside the front door, of Snow's dark house, the darker blobs of furniture being the only things of shape in the room, Snow flicked on the light and the room filled with light like it was lit by the sun, bringing the simple room into focus, it was literally just some couches around a coffee table in a room that had several hallways and a staircase leading away from it, "Well. This is it, my house on the Ponyville outskirts." Snow said slowly before walking over to a couch and flopping down, looking over to Night, "Why do you think?"
"It's amazing... I haven't seen a house this size since I left Canterlot." Nightshade smiled. "Thank you for inviting me, and..." She took a deep breath. "...Please allow me to apologize for running out on you earlier. It was rather foalish of me to behave as I did."
Snow waved it off, "It's okay Nightshade! You probably just felt like I said no, and you wanted to get out with your dignity." She said simply before giving Nightshade a sly look, "And just for your information...I never did say no. I just didn't say yes." Snow turned to face Night completely,"Tell ya what, I've got 6 days left. You have 6 days to convince me to say yes, which I don't think will be too hard as long as you don't royally insult or something. How does that sound?"
Nightshade grinned. "That... sounds like a challenge. I look forward to spending more time with you." Despite her relaxed outward appearance, she was still inwardly freaking out. "A challenge? Who are you kidding? This is an impossibility! This mare is practically royalty. You're nothing more than a pony that teaches little fillies and colts how to hit a punching bag. Maybe if you had stayed in Canterlot, you would have had a chance, but now..." She shook her head, trying to remove the unpleasant thoughts.
Snow smiled at Nightshade, "Good to hear you're willing to give it a shot! Even if you're already at a maybe!" Snow laughed then patted the couch cushion next to hear, "Come on, take a seat, take a load off! I can make some White Hope tea too if you want!" (fun fact about White Hopes: in addition to being just about the healthiest and most nutritious flower out there, if eaten uncooked or boiled, or evn just standing in a field of them, they have a tendency to make ponies want to go out and try to find somepony to be with...and have "funtimes" with,,.However if they are cooked, they lose most of that effect, and taste slightly like alcohol, when they usually taste sweet. However, Snow does not get affected by this as she's around them all the time. She can eat bushels of them with no real effects(
After the waiter returned with the mayo Silver continued the conversation. "It would be my honour to do such a thing." She then tucked into her food speaking up after finishing her second piece. "You must be getting tired about me asking all about you."
