Aborel turned over, muttering in her sleep in a high-pitched faint voice. there was a pop, and a circular foot of floor around her tiny bed turned into a field of flowers.
Fluttershy sighed. "Alright, well, I'm going to bed; can you stay and watch her? I don't want the house to turn inside out again..." "Will do!" Discord replied, saluting and looking serious, before chuckling and drinking more tea.
Aborel slept soundly on her tiny bed for several hours, before finally waking up and rubbing her eyes. "why is everything so big?" she said sleepily, rolling off the bed and into the tiny flowers.
"Oh, it's all in the perspective," Discord chuckled, looking over at her from where he'd been eating a book. He picked her up in his paw and grinned. "I'd have thought someone so experienced in dimension jumping would've known that."
"oh yeah..... I'm not a morning person right now." she said, blinking and looking around, then snapping her fingers and conjuring a cup of coffee. she looked up at Discord, then curled up in his paw. "this is comfy!"
Discord blinked in surprise, then chuckled some more. "You're far more open minded than these boring ponies," He said, folding his thumb around her gently, and sipping tea with his claw. It was the same cup of tea Fluttershy had made him hours ago, and it was still full.
she giggled, snuggling his thumb, and sipped her coffee. "yep. ponies are so up-tight sometimes! it's nice to be around another draconequus...." she said, smiling. she looked around the house. "so, do you live here with Fluttershy? you don't seem to jump the dimensions like I did, so you must live somewhere"
"Hmm? Oh no, I'm just visiting. I have my own house, in another dimension," Discord replied, smiling, "You may well have been past it at some point."
"cool! could I visit? officially, I mean." she stepped off Discord's hand, snapping her fingers and growing back to her normal size as Crystalf slipped into the room. "it sounds like it'd be a nice place."
Discord shrugged, then rose off the sofa and stretched. "I don't see why not!" He grinned, before extending his claws, and ripping a hole in the fabric of reality, opening a portal to a realm full of strange blue and black swirling shapes. "Ladies first," He said, smiling at Aborel, and gesturing to the portal.
Aborel raised an eyebrow, then snaked through the portal, grinning. "nice! this actually isn't familiar" she said. "I wonder why I never came here.... oh well. I'm here now" she floated around, poking the air and causing ripples in it as if it were water. "you have the best home ever!"
she popped over to it. "it's rather quaint" she said cheerfully. "I like it! .....I wonder.... what kind of house do you think I should have?" she sapped her fingers, producing a table with a chart on it and several tools
Discord shrugged, before reclining on a deck chair and closing his eyes. "Ponies seem very keen on building houses in trees, must be a reason for it I suppose..."
Aborel bit her lip, floating Crystalf over to her, then grinned. "it's going to be in a crystal tree!" she proclaimed, conjuring the tree and placing upon it a wooden cottage, rather similar to Fluttershy's, but embellished with steel bracings and filigree
Discord blinked; he hadn't expected her to build her house right next to his, but he supposed he didn't mind. It might be nice to have some like-minded company! "Very nice," He said, nodding slowly and stroking his goatee, "But I think it's missing something..." He thought for a moment, then a lightbulb appeared above his head. "Aha!" He exclaimed, then clicked his talons, conjuring a pink lawn flamingo on his small garden, which then fired red lasers from it's eyes into the tree. The laser was refleccted throughout the structure, and shot out the various limbs and boughs, illuminating the swirling black and blue around them with dancing red light.
Aborel stared for a moment, then grinned. "lasers! nice." she said, floating over to it and tapping the flamingo and turning it into orange crystal. "and now it looks really nice" she giggled
Discord raised an eyebrow. "You really like crystals, don't you?" He chuckled, and conjured up a small crystal tiara, setting on Aborel's head at a jaunty angle.
"ooh, thanks!" she said, giggling as she conjured a hand mirror to look at the tiara. "crystals have such nice patterns. it's hard to get bored of them" she grinned, then pursed her lips thoughtfully. she snapped her fingers, giving Discord a crown made of ivory and wood. "there! we're even now."
Discord looked up, then smirked. "Very dangerous, giving me a crown... but thank you." He sat back in his deck chair, and summoned a glass of chocolate milk with a little umbrella in it. "So, I take it you're planning to stay in this realm a while then?"
"yep!" she said, snaking through the air. "this place is cool!" she turned a floating island into a turtle with a disc-shaped map on it's back, then frowned. "huh..... where did I first see that? it seems really familiar.... must've been a dimension I forgot" she shrugged.
