The CMC? Getting their CUTIE MARKS!!!! This must never happen, the idea of being able to imagine what their cutie marks will look like and watching them search for their special talents is to much fun. However...a movie about them all getting their cutie marks might not be SO bad... *contemplates*

    Nah...they dont need them.

Also I'm not sure how i feel about a movie, they're never as good as the show and usually the show suffers from it. If there was a movie it better not mark the end of the series because I'm in agreeance with Zephyr here, there had better be ponies til im dead

Pokemon has had several thousand movies and the is still going. So I think MLP could survive a movie. However Pokemon is a concept that has almost unlimited storylines that can be made about it. MLP probably will become stale eventually, unless they release 646 new background characters for us to obsess over and collect.

Pokemon is a special case. Not every show can have that kind of longevity, adaptability and durability.

Sounds more like MLP: The Movie as directed by George A. Romero.

You know what would make a MLP movie interesting? If Craig McCracken directed it, and they bring in Genndy Tartakovsky and Jhonen Vasquez to help out. I would make so many squees (Jhonen inside joke, yay!) of joy and then proceed to blow a ton of money by watching it over and over in theaters.

Oh yes, I've seen a few Dexter's Lab-esque drawings of the cast!

I don't think FiM would work as a film. Other than the pilot episodes, each episode has been structured around a 22 minute plot (which is fairly involving for the time the epsiodes last). Each plotline is usually inconsequential, which gives the creators space to be able to make any crazy storyline and not HAVE to keep mentioning it in every episode. It means they can start with a clean slate, but there are some rolling story elements, like the Grand Galloping Gala. If a film was made, then the plot would be something similar to the pilot episodes, which I really don't think is the main backbone of the FiM series. Still it would be interesting to see what they come up with, as long as it was like an extended episode: no changes to the team please.

If the animation and indeed the crew itself remained the same as with the series, I don't think it would turn out bad, and I would LOVE to see it. But if they dramatically changed it for the worst, I would probably go homicidal... that, or curl up in the fetal position and rock back and forth for a few years.
