Yeah, it's fairly confusing when you say "Filly Fooler" seeing as the main usage of the word filly in the show is young female, only context that I've seen it used with the show not in the context of like CMC filly was in the Equestria Girls song, which wasn't directly created by the show - so that context is fairly confusing, that misunderstanding is completely understandable. As for sexual orientation, it's not my place to care what other people's orientations are - so long as it's not pedo then why should it matter to me what someone's preference is?
I mean, look at flash and foxy... does anyone have a problem with that? (they better not or i'll kick their ***) But they seem happy...
I have no qualms whatsoever with anybody's gender preferences. I have some friends that are gay and transgender, so I consider myself to be open minded. If anyone you consider a friend can't accept that, then they're not truly your friend.
I knew what you meant by the terms, but I can see how they confused some others at first. I honestly don't think anyone here minds at all though. In fandoms like these, there tends to be more such people apart of them. And everyone as a whole tend to be pretty open-minded. I don't mind either, I have a lot of friends who are "colt cuddlers" and "filly foolers". I myself am also partially a "colt cuddler".
Sexual preference is such a small part of a person's personality. In fact, I don't think it even comes into it. There's no way I'd ever have a problem with anybody just because they're gay. I judge people on whether or not they're a nice person, and you seem like a nice person! I don't think you'll find anyone here who would have a problem either, especially now that there's 20% more love and tolerance! On a related note, I find it coincidental you joined the day I was saying I have gay rights posters on my door. But yeah, this is too loving a community to be bothered by something like that. You're a brony, and that's the bottom line!
I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. That said, I also believe that we should be equally just to all humans/people. And no, I don't see a contradiction in that. It's what I believe in.
well, to answer to original massage: no, I don't have a problem with it. I have few gay and lesbian friends myself, as long as they (males) don't hit on me, I'm ok with them. (I'm straight) it's a personal choice. everyone can make their own decision.
I'm pretty much at the same disposition with Yeti on this. My motto for the subject is "I don't give a **** whether you like men, women, or both, just don't hit on me kind sir". That being said, I also believe that marriage is a religious issue and not a legal one, therefore there shouldn't be an issue with same-sex (I don't like to use the word Gay) marriages in the US, yet it's not legal in most states.
I would be very amused if someone here (especially a male brony) did have a problem with any sort of romantic/sexual orientation. People are people, we're all born how we're born, and that's it. On a side note, the terms used are -not- optimal. Very not optimal. ;
Filly-Foolers and Colt-Cuddlers, which I did catch your drift, seem misplaced in terms of meaning. A colt who fools with fillies would also be a Filly Fooler, so I would suggest Mare's Mare and Colt's Colt. And my religion of oatshappensism prevents me from caring about one's sexual orientation as long as it doesn't get people raped.
Sexuality, or the judgment of? Because if it's the former, then well, not to start anything or anything, but, that wouldn't really be correct. As for judgment of, I don't believe that there's much choice involved- after all, your opinions are your opinions, and they're pretty hard to change, especially by a whim.
Ummm most religions don't allow same-sex marriage and that's often used as a coverup for the actual reasons politics in many states oppose it (equal coverage with insurance and many other money related things that'd come from same-sexy couples having equal writes to differing ones).
I found this thread a while ago and now I finally get a chance to comment, with school croping up before I was even ready and all. Personally I am glad that the community is accepting here, and that I am not the only colt cuddler here.
Being Christian and all, I know it isn't right. But I know plenty of both and I don't really think any less of them. Well, except for one girl, but that's completely unrelated.
Nono, youthink it isn't right. Who is a person hurting by being with a person of the same gender? I fail tonsee why god thinks it is such a horrible thing, as well as why people put so much weight on this issue, while other "sins" go completely ignored. And, since I believe in equal rights, I do think same-sex marriages should be allowed. I'm glad I live in a country where, if I find a woman I want to be with for the rest of my life, I can friggin' marry her and raise a family (now we just need to fix our laws on transgendered people). No, probably not in a church, but being legally married to someone makes a huge difference in terms of insurance and parental rights. Also, I was confused by your ponified terms as well. I thought you were talking about paedophiles and was shocked by people's reactions.
Well one could argue that it goes against how Humans were made, and one could say that they were made to be heterosexual, but I'm perfectly open to the idea that things changed. I mean, you don't see Christians not eating pork or fasting as much as what is mentioned in the Bible era. So there's a good possibility that Being Gay is perfectly all right, which I think is true, God loves everyone and he'll do anything in his power to make everyone worthy of heaven. And yes I agree, Society today makes everyone think that Some sins are worse than others. To God, a sin is a sin, no matter what it is. and he still forgives you if you ask him to. So there really isn't a problem here I don't think. Homosexuals are perfectly normal people, they are just not the kind of people that society thinks they should be be. I don't really give a crap about society or people being Homosexual. TL;DR I'm perfectly allright with Homosexual people, they are still people after all. Also, I'm sure I didn't, but, if I offended anyone in any way I did not mean to and I am sorry. Also, just a suggestion but maybe this should be moved to Serious Discussion, It seems to be headed that way.
