Well, placing your toe first decreases the stretching of the Achilles tendon, and also decreases the activation of the soleus muscle. http://www.livestrong.com/article/551991-heel-toe-vs-toe-heel-walking/ It also uses less energy. http://www.editorsweb.org/fitness/walking.htm http://www.scientificamerican.com/p...=heel-to-toe-walking-is-energy-effic-10-02-12 I recommend running for short bursts on the toes, but walking (at least most of the time) heel-to-toe.
I said I walk on my toes when I'm not wearing shoes. My job is nothing but tons of walking, so my feet are fine.
Actually, your foot is designed to go the opposite way. Not necessarily the from toe to heel, but when walking you're supposed to land roughly around mid-foot to the balls of your feet and lightly touch your heel down. When you run though you're definitely supposed to land on the balls of your feet, because the arch absorbs a ton of the shock. Edit: I'd include sources but I'm on my iPod
Why do you think that? Anyway, I remember that video. That took a lot of guts. I know I never could have done something like that.
Oh, I misunderstood what Yami was saying, that's all. That's my fault. I totally get the bit about running, and would be very surprised if I hadn't included that in my earlier posts. While I do not disagree that the foot is designed to absorb pressure through the ball of the foot, that's not good for day-to-day walking, especially in terms of keeping the ankles flexible. Moving heel-to-toe is often better for that, but yes, definitely where running is concerned I can see the benefits. Plus, I think we're a little off track.
There is a simple way to deal with /b/. IGNORE IT You censoring comments, ratings and what have you just incited the trolls to post more about you. Simply ignoring the situation would have made things a Jesus Christ load easier for you. Also, I lurk /b/ out of boredom, and, in actual fact, most people overemphasise how bad it actually is.
I must say, by boogily! That is one extreme case of bullying, even if the trolls across the internet don't realize it. Maybe something to take away from this is that even though you don't even know people across the internet, you still need to realize that they have lives too (just like your teachers in school!). Sure, you can just ignore it, but it still hurts when people blindly insult you, and when it starts to affect your friends, you know things have got out of hand.
I'll agree with this, because people tend to make big deals out of small things. A lot of /b/ is really just like every other part of the 'net.
dude if you keep supporting being a brony and get enough people behind you no one (almost no one) will try and mess with you. If you shy away from it it will just become worse. You must face them with your friends.
99% of trolls are theoretically harmless. Just realize they're just a bunch of ****ing idiots that have nothing better to do than to insult someone who's got twice as much balls and twice as many friends as they. However, that still leaves the 1%, and they're the people that drive the others to suicide (Amanda Todd incident). In my experience, /b/ isn't as bad as everyone says, but still not the best place to be. I know I hate answers like the one I'm about to give, since I make it very clear that I do but... Ignore the trolls.
I can't believe there is a website devoted to mocking autistic people. Then again, should I really be shocked by something like that on the internet?
I know it may not seem like it could do a lot, but taking down your youtube account and making a new one could help. What could help too is putting the video's on "unlisted", so that you'll need a link to watch them. That way you can still show your video's to the people you trust. Just know that 90% of the people on 4Chan are ignorant, insensible übergeeks with no life. They will try to make fun out of everyoone, black or white, gay or hetero, male or female, fat or skinny, and so on. They can only laugh when someone else suffers from it, and bronies and pegasisters are a popular target now. Why do you think I stopped uploading any pony-related stuff on my DeviantArt and Youtube? I welcome you to 4Chan, the rusty, filthy, stinking, broken dumpster of the Internet.
