James just sank down and down and a small puddle of blood slides out of the back of his head, James' "mask" almost cracked in half, it slid off more and more
As Hunter reached James, a mirelurk appeared out of the gloom; grabbing his knife, Hunter slashed at it, the blade glancing off it's shell. The Mirelurk didn't take kindly to this, and batted the knife out of Hunter's hand; it sailed through the water and stuck itself in James' leg. Looking around desperately, Hunter noticed the plasma grenades on James' belt. He grabbed one, pulled the pin, and, with careful timing, stuffed it into the mirelurks mouth. Grabbing James, he swam towards the surface as fast as he could. A few seconds later, the grenade went off, and the resulting explosion fired Hunter and James out of the water, into the air, and back down onto the deck of the Duchess Gambit.
The knife jabbed deeper into James' leg cutting through his bone and getting stuck, after a while James woke up, coughing he got up quickly, he felt the back of his head and still felt his head with a big hole in the mask "Oh no oh no Oh no~!" James cried out as he tried keeping his mask on, He ran quickly but fell he still tried to crawl quickly to find a tool box or something, trying to find tape, he found some and went to tape the back of his mask together, "Better..." he said as he started to breath heavily in a worried way
"Well that was... Impressive," Nadine said, approaching the two of them as Hunter woke up and shook his head. "What happened?" She asked. "Mirelurk, attacked... Killed, with a grenade..." Hunter explained between breaths; the fall onto the deck had winded him. "And what about that knife in his leg?" Nadine asked, pointing at James. "It, uh, was an advanced mirelurk!" Hunter bluffed, "Attacked us with a knife!" He grinned and nodded his head at both of them.
"Says the guy who was taken out by a piece of dead crab." Hunter replied, glaring at James. "And why have you wrapped your head in tape? What kind of medical treatment is that?"
"Welp...secrets can't be told can't they?" James replied as he went to go and grab his sword, but he notices his sword is inside the ocean, "God damn it...." James said as he starred at the ocean
"God damn what? The water?" Hunter asked looking at James. He shook his head; "Er, you might want to pull that knife out of your leg..."
"What knife?" He said, starring at his leg, "Oh that knife..." he said as he then began to scream "AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! THERES A DAMN KNIFE IN MY LEG!!!!" He tried pulling it out, screaming, "AGGGGGHHHHHHWHDHGWJKAHD" After 20 minutes of painful screaming he stopped as the knife was still stuck, "Gosh darn it...I hope they have some "non" crazy doctors in Point look-out..." he said.
It was noon the next day when they finally reached the pier at Point Lookout. James had still refused to remove the knife from his leg, or allow Hunter or Nadine to do it, despite Nadine's insistence that there were no doctors in Lookout. Disembarking, Nadine turned to Hunter and James: "I'm here for two days, no longer; if you don't manage to make it back to the boat by then, you'll have to find another way home." With that, she turned around and walked off, presumably to meet whoever it was she traded with.
"Welp~" James said, scared, "I'm off to hide in the nearest barrel of monkeys!" He said sarcastically as he went to hide in the boat.
"Oh no you don't!" Hunter said, grabbing James' collar: "It was your yelling that got our boat sunk by super mutants, and we were only on that boat because we were chasing your dead friend down the river. The same dead friend who's lying out there somewhere," He said waving his arm at the beach beyond. "We're going out there to find him, and maybe find some loot along the way..."
"Its still a girl, and the body is over there..." He pointed at a body bag floating right next to the boat, "its been following us for the past 20 minutes..." He said, starring at you
"I'm pretty sure the body wasn't in a bodybag when we lost it," Hunter said frowning. He grabbed a boat hook and pulled the bodybag onto the deck. "Yeah, this is just some random bearded guy," He said, unzipping the bag and looking inside. "If I remember rightly, your friend looked more like that." Hunter said, pointing into the distance, where the body of Jessie was being picked off the beach and carried into the mangroves by swampfolk.
"S-S-S-Swamp folks!" He screamed taking cover, "My god! Just like that movie the hills have eyes! I can't die, NOT TODAY~" He screamed
Hunter rolled his eyes. "Fine, you wait here and blabber on about ancient movies, I'm gonna go get her back." He grabbed his guns, put his helmet on, and made his way off the boat. Several hours later he returned, pale faced, covered in blood, and with a new follower. It was the newly reanimated Jessie; still full of bullet holes, and now slightly decomposed, but now also sentient and capable of speech. Hunter sat down in a daze.
When James starred at her he flipped "HOLY WD*&WHJUDNUIWDONANUIW WHO THE HELL IS THAT?!?!?" He said aiming the plasma rifle at Jessie
Hunter shook himself out of his daze and looked at James: "Well, I tracked down those swampfolk that took her body, and followed them into this cave. I guess it was, like, their shrine or something, 'cause they had her on this big stone slab, and then they did something with this evil looking book and some blood; oh God, so much blood... Anyway she came back to life and started killing all the swampfolk; I killed a few too, but it was mostly her. She only didn't kill me 'cause I told her I knew you, and then I brought her back here, and now here we are."
"I know, it's a lot to take in," Hunter said, shaking his head. (Remember the Krivbeknih? It's basically the Necronomicon, so it should be able to resurrect people. But yeah, if it helps, think of her as a non-feral ghoul; I just wanted to add a zombie Enclave officer to our posse XD )
