While Rashall and Macro were talking, Sidesplitter went ahead and ordered an omelet with some coffee and hashbrowns. Didn't want to butt in just yet. He knew better than to disrupt other ponies conversations.
"The less wealthy areas of the city, how well are they defended?" Asks Rashall wondering how well he would need to fortifie.
Delphinium thanked Iron and turned to walk in the direction he pointed. It turned out that was where everypony was headed. Doh. Delphinium silently shuffled throufh the crownd of talkative ponies, keeping his head down. Times like these I wish I had come with a friend so that I don't look like a loner, he thought. I'm sure I'll meet somepony I know here. He continued following the crowd silemtly, attempting to be as inconspicuous as possible.
"As in how easy it is to find your way around? Or how easy it is to hide in there?" Macro said with a raised eyebrow at Rashal
"Look I know what is coming you don't and I have warriors capable of securing that area from what is to come seeing that the guards are stretched thing everywhere," says Rashall.
"You say 'you' like I'm a part of this city still. So lest say your right, and something is 'coming'. Whats your plan to stop it?" Macro said, drinking from his coffie.
"We are here to ensure the protection of the innocent and the weak and if you are not willing to help we will do it on our own," says Rashall.
"I'm willing to help to thoughs who can offer" Macro said looking up at Rashal. "Now if you say there are lives at stake, I will help. Free of charge, for an old friend. But if I help and nothing happend, you owe me. Clear?"
As Sidesplitter eats, he can't help but to overhear their conversation. He can't catch most of what they're saying, but it sounds important, somewhat.
Orangebolt booked his room at the hotel. He then walked down the street and found one of his friends, Macro and another pony talking about something. He trotted up to them and asked, "What's all this about life's at stake? Is that why the security has been upped?"
Iron continued his duty, his very boring duty. 'I can't believe I agreed to this...' He thought, 'I should've guessed that this was going to be horribly boring. He then noticed another familiar face, 'Ah, well if it isn't Rashall Firemane,' He thought, 'I wonder what the lad's up to...'
"We Eldar always repay our friends, you on the other hoof," says Rashall pointing to Orangebolt without looking at him, "Need to keep quite about this," finishes Rashall.
"Erm, that probably mean me too, right?" Says Sidesplitter, noting there must be something up. "What exactly is going on anyways?"
"Orangebolt. Long time no see." Macro said in greeting to Orange. "It's the wedding, Celestia did always have a thing for... Over taking things." Macro stood up. "You can take my seat, I have to go and see some pony about a job. Rashal, I'm sure you will know where to find me when you are ready." Macro trotted off lightly and took off around the corner. He flew over towards the less ritch area od the city and came to a 5 stroy building. He walked in, it was empty, abandoned. He flew up the stairs and cam to the top floor where there was a board with pistures on it and a rugged sofa next to it. He looked at the pictures, there were of him and Luna. He sat down on the sofa and sighed. He hated him self for what he did, he did what he had to but he wished there was a way he could go back to being Luna's guard, and more of all, her friend.
Rashall watched as Macro left and then turned to the others, "You two worry about the wedding let me and Macro handle this little business," says Rasshall with a smile. He then heads off into a side ally and from there climbs to the roof.
(Jeez guys, slow it down! I live for not even a day and there's 4 new pages! Oh, and I am talking to you from Denver International Airport, about to head to Cody Wyoming!)
