Ok... I am currently making a cover for love is in bloom and I need a couple tips. Is there any recommended software I need to record? Any advice on writing parts (guitar, piano, bass, strings, etc.)? Any advice on adding instruments I don't have? Like is there some sort of software out there that will let me add strings or drums (I will need that for strings, drums, and bass)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I already have a basic piano part written and I am beginning to write a guitar part. I have some ideas for strings too.

Maybe get finale notepad. and transcribe the melody alone. This will let you have a visual of what you need to work with. I'm making an orchestral rock band cover of that exact song as well. I'll record myself doing a piano cover of the song so you will have an idea of what I mean when I say "work around the melody". Make sure you also follow the chords.

Find out what key and scales are used before anything else. Then you can do some pretty nice improv.

Alright thanks for your help! I have a basic melody down for the piano, but I need to work on it more and improve it. It sounds a bit bland right now. I am working on the guitar part now too, which is going alright, it still needs lots of work though. I plan on having the piano take the melody for awhile, then switch the rhythm over to the piano while doing some improvisation on guitar. I have a pretty good plan for it in my head, I just need to get it out and make it happen
