Technically, Physics is the study of nature, but that's beside the point. In regards to animals in nature acting homosexually: 1. Regardless of how a few species act (1,500 is a few compared to the number of species that exist), the fact stands that from a logical and scientific standpoint, homosexuality is irrational. It does not propagate the survival of the species, and as that is what the primary function of sexual activity is in nature, it is, indeed, unnatural. Here is a definition of unnatural, by the way. It says nothing about requiring the noun being described having to "contradict well-established laws". It is simply something that goes against what is normal or natural; hence, unnatural. 2. No one ever accused animals of acting rationally, anyways. If an animal does it, should humans do it? 3. Sort of melding in with the second point, but Humans aren't really animals. Biologically, we are organisms, but "organism" is not a synonym for "animal". Sorry...I would like you all to know that when I post things while debating, I mean no personal affront. I am simply attacking your viewpoint, not you. If anything I say seriously offends you personally, please alert me...
The term animal is based solely on society's views, just like vegetables. You're trying to argue a scientific viewpoint while admitting to not using scientific definitions for groups. Problem?
One theroey on homosexuality that I find believable is that it is kinda the 'extra nurse'. Let me give you an example: Let's say it's pre-history and man are still hunter-gatherers. Now, pa is heterosexuality (of course) but uncle Joe is homosexual. While Pa is out hunting, he leaves Ma with many children to look after, but Uncle Joe is still there to help Ma look after the kids. Another is that homosexuality is one of nature's defenses against overpopulation of a species.
And then the thread derailed and many lives were lost. Please move this topic into its own thread if you want to keep discussing it. And keep it tasteful.
Well the middle class is what makes America, well, America, the middle class needs to grow if America is to grow. But what the Republicans currently in power want is more taxes on middle and lower classes, lower taxes on the wealthiest 1%, and they want to gut the programs that help the general populace, without even considering dipping into the huge budget of the military. I've found that with most Republicans, it's their way, or be accused of being 'socialist' or 'un-american' or 'communist' or some other garbage.
Not American so decided to take the quiz and being English I only know about Obama and Romney someone please explain others.
Apparently, I side with everyone but Romney. Being European, however, I had to google some of the issues to even know what to think. I even had to look up Jill Stein, who I seem to match the most. Some of these issues seem so strange from my viewpoint. Idunno, I'm just hoping it won't be Romney.
