As background, I have recently played through the recently released "Lone Survivor" and the less recently released "Braid." What I want to know is, what other indie titles are worth checking out, in your opinion.
Minecraft, of coarse. XD I've also heard (Through one of Sparky's posts) of a game named Paranormal. That looks good!
If you're into interactive novels then I can't recommend Christine Love's work enough: - Digital: A Love Story (Free) - Analogue (Paid) - Don't take it personally Babe, it just ain't your story (Free) I tried the "Bastion" demo and that was pretty darn fun. Sanctum is supposed to be good. Ugh, does Mount & Blade count as indie..? Overgrowth by wolfire games (only alphas are playable if you pre-purchase). Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
Oh, another indie horror game. THANK YOU. Large game companies don't really do horror well anymore. I'm eager to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but I also want to give some space between the horror games. How is Cave Story?
I saw Analogue on Steam and wondered about that. Is it one of those games like Hotel Dusk where the whole thing is linear and text-heavy, or is it actually just an interactive novel? I got Bastion in this latest humble indie bundle. I've heard good things about it. Maybe I ought to try that next!
Do you have a PS3? If so, check out the Pixeljunk games and anything made by thatgamecompany. There's also a very creepy game being developed called Among the Sleep. It's basically Amnesia, but you play as a two year old.
No. I don't make enough to justify to myself the purchase of a PS3 since I have a 360 and a decently powerful PC (along with a ton of older game consoles I got when I was a kid), even if there are quite a few console exclusives I want for it. There are so many great exclusives coming out lately, though, that at some point I might have to just break down and buy one, as they are getting far more affordable than they used to be. Heck, the Vita is a way bigger investment than a new PS3 is, even if you opt for the $250 version, as the games are still fairly expensive at this point (makes sense, it being a new machine and all) and the memory cards are exorbitantly priced. Wow, I just looked that game up. VERY creepy looking. I love it. If that is released on Steam, I'll probably pre-order it.
I have eard high praises for "Cthulu saves The World" although I have yet to buy it off of Steam.:derpe:
Just played through Iji. That was awesome, I kinda wanna do it again! Thanks for the link to the site, Rada!
