I recently got really into Maplestory and after breaking apart my 5,000th Toy Trojan it dawned on me that grinding alone is rather boring. So I thought I'd find some people to play with, and if there's enough start up an EP guild. Anybody interested?
A side scrolling MMO? Is that what it is? I'm to a huge fan of MMOs but playing with EP members is fun. I'll look into the game when I get home. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Played for about a week. The only thing that kept me was the amazing soundtrack. To be honest, the game was nothing but grinding and hitting a single button (almost the same as playing an Arcane Mage in WoW)
I can deal with grinding as long as I don't get bored. That doesn't make sense. Example. In WoW, I got bored after a week, but I can grind in FF X for hours with no boredom. I'll still check it out. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
The WoW refrence was to the playstyle, not the levelling. With an arcane mage, all you have to do is click arcane blast over and over until you win.
Might I ask, Have to seen the game post Cata? I assure you, such will not work. Sent from my iPod touch 4G using Tapatalk
For anybody debating on joining soon, we need to all be in the same server in order to interact at all. I currently have a character in El Nido. This way I can help start some people off and we can get a strong family tree going for premium bonuses.
I remember playing a long, looong time ago. I'll see if I can blow the dust off my old profile and get back into it, if not I'll just start again.
There's no story (stupid seeing as how it has the name MapleSTORY), but you essentially are an adventurer going around the world killing monsters. Like every MMO ever
I've recently come into enough funds to start up an EveryPony guild in Maplestory. Which wasn't hard; it's not a lot. Anywhoozle, if you've made a character by now in El Nido, go ahead and add me to your friends list, my character name is Anakti
Is anybody still here? Haha, jeez. Anyway, I just hit level 100 and I thought I'd post a good leveling guide of Levels 1-100. 1-10: Maple Island, just do the quests they give you until you've exhausted a majority of them. Then leave for Victoria Island. 10-20: Grind your levels from Blue Ribbon Pigs. They spawn quickly and give a decent amount of experience. They can be located... Spoiler: Here 20-25: After you hit 20, immediately head to the Stone Golems and level up in a similar fashion to that of the pigs. They can be located... Spoiler: Here 25-30: In the same area (Stone Golem Temple) you can find Mixed Stone Golems. Start killing those instead, and keep an eye out for the dungeon in the area too, it has excellent spawn speed. 30-35: Once you upgrade to your second job a bubble will pop up and prompt you to teleport to the Mushroom Kingdom. Do this, it's the quickest way to glide through these 5 levels. 35(?)-50: Go to Kerning Square Mall and head directly to the top floor. You'll find a million CDs rolling around. Massacre them. They can be located... Spoiler: Here 50-55: Drakes. Murder them. They can be located... Spoiler: Here 55-60: Toy Trojans. They can be found in a new continent called Ludibrium. You'll have to go to the center of Victoria Island and board a ship to Orbis, and then to there. They can be located... Spoiler: Here Green Floor; Farthest Right. 60-65: Red/Blue Robots. They're located in the same place actually, just a floor down. Get killing. 65-70: Zeta Greys. Climb up from inside the Toy Chest and hop down the lest tower in Ludi. There you'll find some sort of military base with Aliens running around. Kill the ones with the capes. They can be located... Spoiler: Here 70-85: Board a ship to El Nath and get your third job advancement. Then take one of the dimensional portal you find in just about EVERY town to New Leaf City. From there take the Cab to the Haunted house and go into the Toy Chest room. There you'll find Twisted Jester. Hope you like em, you'll be there for a while. -Map Unavailable- 85-90: Go to Kerning City and talk to the Singapore Tour guide. Go to Singapore and hook a right. Keep going until you find an exit to the port town. Go there and keep going right until you come to "Mysterious Passage 3" Murder everything. -Map Unavailable- 90-100+: Go back to New Leaf City and talk to the Mayor about the recent Earthquakes. It'll trigger a quest involving an alien invasion. Follow this to the end to unlock the Alien base as a leveling hot spot. Head over to Alien Base Corridor and have loads of fun, the XP is insane. (3000 XP a kill, Spawn every second, Large Clusters) It can be located... Spoiler: Here
I only really want to revive this thread since I had been an avid player for 5 years since MS Europe came out. Before I quit, I had 3 level 200's - a marksman, a dexless night lord and an Aran (the first on Europe ms, too ) and a 194 bowmaster which I lost motivation for. Anybody else play(ed)? My apologies if this classes as a necrobump.
I'm just going to say, even though this thread is alive /somehow/, I probably won't be playing for like, ever. I grinded my way to level 100 and just stopped IMMEDIATELY.
Europe mS had major database leaks, that's why I quit. Also I seriously needed a life. At least I was practically the only level 200 player that didn't charge a single penny of NX cash.
I've got it downloaded, though it's rather bad I have to play the euro-version. It doesn't allow us to play with the US, does it?
