sorry for the topic bump, but on picture, could that be Applejack's, Big Macintosh's and Applebloom's parents?
Applejack's parents, they might be dead, they might not, I don't know. But maybe Applejack just moved out when she was old enough. They might live in Manehattan or something, or they are traveling the dimensional planes with Doctor Whooves, anything is possible. I do like the theory of the hat being Applejack's father's though.
Maybe the parents use to live on the farm with Granny Smith and their children and they were called away to help on a relatives farm. I had suspected they might have died but I doubt they would do that in a My Little Pony cartoon- although I wouldn't put it past Disney LOL 80% of there stories involve parent death. If they were going to make the show realistic, maybe Apple Jacks parents where unable to care for there children and sent them to live with there grandmother.
i think they were busy with.....something, and left their kids with their grandma x3 yes! that sounds logical....i think. XD
I do believe the Great and Powerful Faust herself said that they were dead - she just couldn't figure out a way to explain it in a children's show without making the little kids cry. That's interesting. I've always felt it a suitable headcanon that the three were orphans, but I never ever thought I'd see it coming from Faust. Obviously it's far from canon, but it does hold much more of a ridgid stance now.
