Etheran nodded and opened a portal

 

(Walks outside of the lab and to his island hill, where he opens a golden cylinder and walks in)

 

Etheran stepped through their portal, humming

 

*The cylinder fades away from the islands in the mist of the home dimension of Arch and Etheran. And reappears on the mountain that Canterlot would be built on, tens of years before the first ponies would've climbed it.*

 

"so, what do you want us to do here?"

 

We need to cut into the mountain where the city center is going to be and then build inside there.

 

Etheran nodded and raised a hand. the foot of the mountain cracked, and a tunnel formed

 

Huh. That always been there?

 

Etheran looked at him. "no, I just created it. and I'll probably close it afterwards."

 

Hmm. Interesting. (Walks in and through the passage)
*A small group of scientists appear with a faint melody that resounds around the mountain. With a distinguishable "Lu Li La" interlaced in the melody.*

 

Etheran smiled and followed him, humming

 

(Walks into a very large cavern.)

 

"so, what are we building, exactly?"

 

Clockworker: We will be building a construct able to channel immense power and resist the ravages of Time.
Arch: (starts using magic to reinforce the cave walls and build enchantments to prevent anyone from seeing into the cave using magic or from happening upon the cave)

 

Etheran nodded and did the same as Arch

 

Can't have anyone like Silver or Daring Do, or anypony getting in here. (Embeds a feeling of raw terror into the cave, enough to scare, more than likely, even the princesses)

 

Etheran nodded, then frowned. "I don't think the fear is going to help. it would just make Silver think he had to come in here to investigate"

 

Hmm. Would it be more effective if we embed something living?

 

"hm.... perhaps an Ursa?"

 

Major? Or infant? Or I could sit in here.
Clockworker: No. You won't.

Arch: Guess I won't then.
