Carnivorous? No. Omnivorous? If MLP ponies are anything like horses, then yes. Mods: I'm not entirely sure about this video, but there's no visible blood. If it's too much, remove it. Spoiler: Horse killing and eating birds - Slightly graphic
I say yes. Turtles don't eat pizza in real life, but that never stops Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo and Raphael from enjoying a good slice of mozzarella, pepperoni and bacon. Likewise, mice and rats don't eat cheese in real life, but that never stopped Jerry, Speedy Gonzales, Rizzo or Pixie and Dixie.
It is possible to make mock gravy with ground up walnuts, water, and flour. I have tried it before and it's good. I also re-call Pinkie Pie using the word "Vegetarian" in her 'Care/Share' song.
1: There's such a thing as meat substitutes. 2: I practically had chickens as pets for 5 years, and never ate a single one of them. Fluttershy is most certainly doing the same. 3: No. Horses are not carnivorous. Case closed.
Dentally speaking, equines are much better suited to be herbivores due to their flat teeth. Most stallions and very few mares develop canines, but the way they're set makes them useless for chewing meat. Still, they can eat meat - back in ye olden times, warhorses would be fed meat to give them a "taste for flesh", which supposedly encouraged them to bite at enemies. That said, I highly doubt the ponies of Equestria are all that big on meat, but could eat it if they really wanted to. I'm sure it might be viewed as a barbaric thing, though, much how Westerners view cultures that eat cat and dog meat with disgust.
Applejack keeps pigs. They are clearly being kept as livestock, and not as pets. The only agricultural reason to keep pigs is for their meat.
False, pigs were also kept as a means of garbage disposal, since they can eat almost anything organic.
no i always see them eating different plantburgers sandwiches etc. they are vegan ive never heard one mention of meat in mlp
