Marcus sighed as he looked up at the clouds. Something was not right about them, they seemed too toxic for regular clouds. He heard explosions near they're position. They seemed too loud for regular explosions, and then there was something that sounded like fighting. Marcus heard someone scream in pain from the noises, so, he unsheathed his great sword and ran off in the direction.
Carmon watched him run in the direction of screams, she followed him to see what he was going to do. She appeared near him every so often as if she were an illusion. Her pale face showing from the dark shadows.
Marcus continued to run until he had made it to the destination. He hid behind a tree poking his head out from behind. There were at least 15 of those things surrounding two others, but they looked different. The two seemed to be covered in short fur, they had no holes and they actually had pupils in they're eyes. They both seemed to be a different color, and from the looks of it they were female. They had no fangs, and there were more of them, except the others were dead. Marcus continued to watch as those things surrounded the two civilians. he heard one of the monsters spoke, "TAKE THEM TO THE NEST, THEY WILL BE PERFECT FOR BREEDING CATTLE!" It was the largest out of the group, had the whole armor, horns, and feathers. Which meant that guy was the chieftain. They had they're backs turned to the tree Marcus was hiding behind, which was perfect for an ambush. He barely saw Carmon next to him, "Hey, you think we should attack, or leave 'em be?"
"Well it wont be any good leaving them" Carmon was watching intently at the things "Those creatures will just torture them till they rot" Her eyes were darkening again as she spoke of 'them'
"Well, guess we could try a stealth plan? Tactical plan? No, I have a better plan," Marcus sheathed his sword, and climbed up the tree, and readied his tactical knife. He was surprised that the tree branch can hold a guy who weighs almost half a ton. Marcus was not fat at all, he had an eight pack, which marked him skinny. He was built like a super soldier, nothing but muscle. He whispered to Carmon, "Hey, I'm going to the chief and his little gang-bang. While I'm fighting, kill the distracted ones, if you don't mind that is?"
"Not at all." Carmon grimaced at the thought of death, her eyes were black with no other color in them. She took out her dagger and spell book and began reading latin as the dagger cloned itself to make two she could use. She silently moved to a tree on the opposite side of the one she was recently on.
"HEY YOU AMERICAN REJECTS!!!" Marcus yelled atop of the tree branch catching the creatures attention. Marcus jumped high into the air, and landing the chief and stabbing through the armor chest plate as the chief gasped before his untimely death (assassins creed stile). The others were shocked, and out of blind hatred and confusion, they all charged Marcus. A one blade came down upon him, Marcus counter attacked by grabbing the handle and pulling the creature into his elbow. Marcus quickly took the creature by the leg and slammed it into the ground with no problem. He noticed the others were backing off, but then as one charged, all of the others copied. Marcus took the dead corps and threw it at the nearest soldier, and quickly threw his own sword up in the air. Three blade came down this time, two of which Marcus caught and threw away before kicking the other one out of the creatures hand. As his great sword came down, Marcus grabbed it by the handle sliced the creature in half in front of him.
(Going badass style) Carmon leapt from the tree behind a charging creature and put both her daggers in front of its neck before slitting its throat as another one came behind her, she spun around and stuck a dagger in the soft area of its neck as it hunt lifeless in her cold grasp of death.
"Please be an actual challenge for me." Marcus said as he cut a head off. He had his tactical knife in one hand, and his sword in the other. They all charged at the same time with their weapons, but Marcus ducked to avoid the attacks and sliced at least five of the creatures legs off before rolling into the open. He stood up, and readied himself for yet another attack.
Carmon pulled out her bow and shot a creature coming towards Marcus as her black eyes grimly watched it fall to its demise. She fell as one pulled her backwards, choking her and depriving her of any air.
Marcus saw Carmon in trouble. He threw his tactical knife, and successfully it hit the creature dead in the forehead. "Bullseye," Marcus said as he felt a sharp pain on his side. He looked down only to see a dagger and one of the creatures before being tackled by six of them. But that didn't keep Marcus down, not by a long shot. He lifted his great sword up and started stabbing the creatures as they fell dead. The others tried to retreat form battle, but they were shot down by Marcus's DMR. Each one fell, but the rest retreating decided to charge again, "I see your facing death like the men your suppose to be!" Marcus said eagerly.
Carmon coughed as regained breath, "Thanks." she spoke to him not seeing the dagger "Retreating like cowards." she looked at the bodies beside him "easy kill." as her eyes were green once more.
The few that were charging again were swiftly shot down, "You can kill the retreating if you want, they'll die slowly if I get to them. Which there's no challenge in that, you can play mind games with them. Have fun."
She gave a nod and jumped into the forest shadows after the retreating creatures, bringing out her bow to shoot them as she ran through dark trees. The girl appeared appeared in front of them as they stopped and gazed her in fright, her eyes were pitch black and the veins in her wrists and around her eyes were visible. She killed each one of them with her sharp, blood-stained daggers.
Marcus turned to the two civvies who sat together in shock at what had happened. He walked carefully towards them, but spotted a helmet, "Impossible." Marcus picked up the helmet and looked at it. It was an advanced helmet, "A mark V MJOLNER Spartan helmet, but it looks like mine when I-" his thought broke as he remembered the two girls. Marcus walked towards them and stopped in front of them. He knelt down looking at the two, "Are you hurt?" He asked. 'Yeah right like they'll speak english.' Marcus's conscious self said. 'They may not speak english, but hey, always give it a shot right?' 'Your an idiot.' One of the females launched towards Marcus and locked her arms around his neck, burying her nuzzle in his shoulder crying.
A pain struck her, she knew it would hurt her to be in demon form but it gave her the strength and skills she wanted. She returned to normal just as she spit blood out of her mouth. She stood up and walked back to where Marcus was.
The Girl continued to cry and would not let go of Marcus's neck. he decided to return the favor and hugged her back, hoping that she will let go. Marcus spotted carmon, "Well, apparently she likes me."
"I can see that." Carmon smiled, blood still on her teeth. "Those creatures were easy" She acted as if she hadn't been hurt or turned into the demon she was.
Marcus stood up, breaking the hug, "We need to find a way out of here, it's not safe for us and them. We need to find a place to rest until morning to be honest, and that small cave I found was perfect."
"Do you remember where it is?" She turned away from him to look into the forest, wincing slightly at the pain. She knew it would end soon, the pain. She began to walk into it.
