    I think its a cool place....but its got a weird perspective on it...especially on the news....they show things that make no difference to anyone....its because nothing happens here....fire example...one time an emperor penguin was found on a beach and everyone called it happy feet and it was on the 6 o'clock news every day to give everyone an update on how its condition is

    I remember that penguin, and thinking pretty much the same thing. NZ journalism definitely leaves a lot to be desired.

    Have you travelled much around the country? Any thoughts on Hamilton (where I live)? I personally think many of the coastal cities/towns are wonderful.

    I've been basically everywhere in the north island and to Nelson in the south...and yea...love the coasts but I like Taupo best
