Maya was a bit taken aback by Stuffy's sudden seriousness, but it didn't crack her easy-going demeanor. "You mean you two being put here? Well, he must have wanted a piece of your chaotic souls." She grabbed an apple with her hoof and bit into it. "All he can do right now, aside from getting buffed up from chaos around him, is snatch certain ponies... and er, apparently wolves and whatever your friend is, and stick them here." She swallowed. "The Elements are totally gonna knock him back outta commission though. Heck, maybe they'll even straighten the dude out. Who knows?" The sky outside would be tie-dye the next time it was seen.
Stuffy flicked her tail and grabbed an orange. "But what is this? Where is everyone else?" She asked, playing with the fruit like it was a hackey sack.
"Not many want to stay here. Most who can gain the ability to leave and get out of here. There's a few that live here like us, though." Maya leaned out the open door and waved. In the far distance, an Ursa Major waved back and went along its merry way. "That's Bigby. Nice dude, but he's a little shy." Her eyes began following the hacky orange.
"Hm." Stuffy peered out and watched the creature. "Curious." She watched the colorful sky. "It's quite nice here." She announced.
"It is," Maya agreed. "You just need to get a decent place set up to get by." She took another bite of her apple and raised an eyebrow. "You feeling alright? It's like a different personality."
Stuffy turned to face her, a gleam in her eyes. "I would be obsolete without a more sophisticated and sane side. That's why I want serious, but scared when the poison joke took effect." There was a tint of wicked intelligence to her personality, but it usually hid behind her craziness and went unnoticed.
"Think for a minute, dude." She wanted to see what she could learn about Stuffy before she switched back. She spoke calmly, "Nopony would build something as complex as you for no reason."
"I don't know about that, I mean. . Have you seen how different I am from myself? Why would something as terrifying be made?" Stuffy rolled her eyes and looked back outside.
She took another bite of her apple and thought as she chewed. "...maybe you were supposed to be a weapon."
"And yet there's nothing to fight against. I seriously could prove myself if someone doesn't take the responsibility for himself. Again."
"If that's what you really want, you've gotta tell him to back off." Maya walked up next to Stuffy, looking outside with her. "You'll probably have to save his sorry flank if he gets reckless again, ya know. Dusty could tell he was dying earlier. Drowning. Being stupidly protective is probably in the dude's nature. Let him know you can handle yourself. It sounds like it'd be healthier for both of you that way."
Stuffy nodded in agreement, now eager to see weekday she really can do. "I wonder what's next in this strange journey." She grabbed the orange and stared at it. "Blegh." She obviously had a distaste for them, and she threw it aside. (Time to start thinking of odd power moves for Stuffy. Maybe an idea for future. I'd like to think I'd be a good actor. I can be dramatic when I need too.)
Maya headbutted the orange midair and started hacky-sacking it herself. "You're still hungry, right?" (I could see her flying apart and reassembling like Monsoon from Metal Gear Rising, but I'm probably just crazy. Sorry if it felt like I was controlling too much, I was just having fun forming things. I totally won't be upset if you slap me on the wrist sometimes.)
"I was exaggerating. Besides, I'm a carnivore. I only easy vegetables when I have to." Stuffy shrugged. (It's fine, I'm only good at creating tension. I can magically make anything turn into any genre. For the most part.)
"In that case, you wanna go blow stuff up while we wait on the boys? I know a good spot without alive things." Maya may not have seemed like it, but she knew more than a few ways to mix explosives.
"Ohh! That sounds fun!" Stuffy barked happily and jumped from the house. (Without alive things. That's great.)
"Just gimme one sec." Maya dropped the orange and flew into a house on the opposite side of the statue. She emerged seconds later wearing two saddlebags. "Shall we?" She began walking towards a wooded area, separate from the one Stuffy and Asmodeus had come from.
