Asmo thought for a second, thinking back to just after he ate that sweet roll, all the way up until now. "What did I... by Luna, I did, didn't I?!" He looked both shocked and excited. Dusty started, "He woke up like that. He still looked like a manticore when he fell asleep. This means he changed into me..." Maya finished, "...without seeing you."
"Idunno... Uh. Lemme try." He closed his eyes tight and thought for a moment. Suddenly, he was a somewhat creepy-looking Zebra. Maya said, "Whoa... you know Zecora?"
"Awesome, I was wondering of you could do that earlier." Stuffy looked outside, seeing the storm was letting up.
Dusty let down the barrier. "Just rain now. I think we can survive." Asmo was visibly excited, smiling ear to ear. "I've been trying to do that for so long!" He switched to Nightmare Moon. "Don't get too cocky yet, dude. You still need your souls back, remember?"
A blue and white butterfly powered through the light sprinkling rain. It didn't seem to care that the drizzle could drown it if it fell. Stuffy put up her paw so the insect could land on it. "Hello, Blue." She smiled towards the bug, as if it were a longtime friend.
Asmo asked, "Is this the friend you were talking about?" He switched into a royal guard stallion, and suppressed his minor fear of bugs.
"Yes, it is." Stuffy took a step back as the butterfly turned into a wolf. "H-Hello." Blue said, and looked down. "She's not a fan of strangers."
"Two shapeshifters," said Dusty. "You don't have to be shy around us," said Maya, gently. "I'm Maya. This is Skydust and Asmo." Dusty simply said, "Charmed."
Blue whispered something to Stuffy. Stuffy gave a small giggle. "Me neither, in fact, he kind of scares me." She said back.
Dusty rolled his eyes. Asmo asked, "So um, Blue, right? How did you get here, if you don't mind me asking?"
"I'm going for a walk." Stuffy said, and left the house without a question. "I've been here for so long." Blue began, though quietly. "So has Stuffy." We were friends before this. Years in fact. I always stay near her somehow, but when you showed up I stopped until I felt comfortable enough to see my friend again." She said, her abnormally sharp teeth glinting in the light.
"Wait," said Asmo, "Have you been right by us the whole time?" Maya was a bit surprised, "I don't get how that slipped under our noses. Nice." She was impressed.
"Not entirely, I only started to come around when there was a huge explosion by the wastelands." Blue flattened her ears, and seemed as if she regained her nervous personality. (Blue usually brings chaos wherever she goes, and is hard to kill. I'm making a picture of her with an arrow in her and cut in half. She won't die from that, but she can be critically injured.)
Maya said, "There's no need to be nervous in here. We're pretty cool once you get to know us." Asmo said, "So you're a non-changeling shapeshifter like me? It's pretty neat to see that there's others." (Hot damn! Sounds like she's near invincible.)
"I have crossed changelings. They didn't like me very much." Blue whined, but continued. "People don't like me, it's because I'm different and bring havoc." It's usually the dangerous creatures she attracts, but it has been a rage of hers before. (She passive aggressive, but can die. She can die of natural causes like falling off a cliff like any normal animal, but when someone killing her, it's harder and usually they have to aim for her mental state and but physical. So she can be pushed of cliffs and stuff, but stabbed for shot at.)
"Nopony here is exactly normal," said Maya. "As far as I'm concerned, you're in good company." Dusty nodded in agreement.
"I've never been in a town before, so I was quite unnerved when I saw the upside down living spaces."
"Yes, I've noticed." Blue flicked an ear and listened quietly. (Deciding whether or not I should make Stuffy fight a monster.)
