"Yeah," said Asmo, "part of me is hoping for a monster attack or something. How long have we be-" He stopped right before the trap, and took a quick step back. "Sweet Luna, that looks dangerous!"
"Sure!" Stuffy dropped down into the unseen crevices of the hole. There was was silence for awhile, then a comical laughter that obviously didn't belong to her. She was then slowly flying back up, as if something (or someone) was weighing her down.
Asmo reached out, attempting to feel whatever was weighing down Stuffy. "Ghosts?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Exact." Stuffy grumbled, and crossed her arms. "Nothing too exciting." Suddenly, a new yippy voice piped up. "Oh wow! New people! Who are you? Why are you here?! " They were bombarded with questions from a new head poking up over the edge of the hole. The wolfs brown hair fluffed with excitement. "I'm X!"
Asmodeus answered her questions respectively, "Asmo, and not entirely sure." (I did, I always check out new characters, fret not!)
"What are you?" Stuffy exclaimed, "You're weird!" "Oh, so you wanna tussle, eh?" X jumped to the ground on her two hind legs. She raised her arms as if starting and old fashion match.
"Of course! When am I wrong?" X gracefully swung the sword, and it ended with the tip an a centimeter away from his throat.
As if it were a reflex, a hole had sprouted through his neck, wide enough for the sword to pass cleanly through if she had gone for the kill. "That's new."
X chuckled, "You really think I'd kill you? Maybe, but not this time." X pulled back, but swung at Stuffy instead, though it passed right through, add if it was water. Stuffy shuddered, "That felt weird..."
X got rid of her weapons, "It's not often people pass through the bamboo forest!" X stuck out her tongue.
