"Wha... Patches, wait!" He went to follow her, but the city went completely black. When the light came back on, an older-looking, buff stallion was inches from Asmo's face. He was grey, and had a black goatee, a black cloak covered in spikes, and a hood that concealed his eyes. The dark thing happened again, and the stallion was gone. "What the..." He shook his head and continued onward to where Stuffy had run.
Stuffy was in a bamboo forest, just outside of the city. Her area was now surrounded by the bright crystals, poking out of the ground. They were quite sharp, so the only other animals there were birds.
Stuffy was laying in the center of a large crystal circle, as the edges pointing towards her. She wasnt aware of the familiar being.
"I was just here, and I noticed you storming away from the city. What happened? Is Asmo okay?" She walked closer.
"That's a good question. Maybe because my fate is much less interesting than his. I guess when your created with a world, you die with it too. Especially one like this."
Maya noticed the city blacking out. "Oh, no... Stuffy, if you don't go help him now, he could die. I thought you were his friend."
"I guess I'm just a very convincing actor." Stuffy saw the city dying as well. "He can save himself. He's not that dumb."
"Twenty-one times he's been called to stop someone," said Skydust from above. "Twenty-one times he's succeeded. On the outside, he nearly killed one of the princesses with his bare hooves. That dead group of vampires, he could have taken out in thirty seconds. He can kill Asmo. All Asmo wants is what is his, but he needs your help. Why don't you stop stop spewing this nonsense about fate, get off your ass, and go help him?" Maya simply nodded.
"Nonsense is exactly right. But what do you know, I don't care anymore." Stuffy replied, but she did have a thought about it.
A building in the city collapsed. Maya pleaded, "Please, Stuffy. Don't let yourself be like this. We can help too if you want, but don't leave your friend to die at the hooves of a madstallion."
"Because you're better than that," she answered. "I saw how you looked at him when he was hurt by the manticore earlier. You care."
"I knew I was a great actor. I even fooled myself." She said and stood, and stated walking towards the city.
