"It is." He smashed it on the ground, and everyone in the room was transported elsewhere. It was a huge chamber, with stone walls that smelled like sulfur, a white, glass floor, floating candles, and hundreds of portals lining the sides. Maya walked up to the pair. "This, dudes, is the Nexus."
"There's a portal here to pretty much every world that matters," explained Maya. "And you two now have the power to come back here any time you want." She pointed at a couple portals. "That one's Equestria, and that one's the messed up version we call home."
Asmo said, "Yeah. Me too." Just then, all sanity fled from his eyes. "Hey, Patches. All these worlds. Lots of food. What do you say we go raise some hell?"
Asmo laughed softly. "Oh, I'm better than okay." Maya looked a bit frightened. "Dude… what the hay is wrong with you?"
"Sane? What fun is there in something like that?" A tentacle sprouted out and threw Maya into a portal leading to a water world. "Maya! She can't swim, you son of a *squee!*!" Dusty rushed in after her.
It's been exactly ten years, down to the hour. Maya and Dusty were waiting in the Nexus, along with a certain pony they once considered a threat. They knew Asmo and Stuffy would soon be coming back from one of their raids. This was finally ending here. Dusty now had a long, wavy, baby blue mane hanging down the left side of his head. The Dead Pony, as the couple had taken to calling him, had a new cloak like the one before, and a wide-brimmed hat obscuring most of his face.
Stuffy jumped into the Nexus. She flicked her tail and noticed the guests. "Oh heyyy!" Stuffy called, a silly look on her face. "Long time no see!"
Asmo landed, in his unleashed form. "You guys are our party guests? Sweet!" Just then, every portal closed. The Dead Pony slowly removed his hat and cast a spell on Dusty, giving him his entire reserve of magic. Dusty supercharged Maya's strength and durability. Maya stepped forward, a serious look on her face, and said, "I think you know why we're here, dudes." Dusty said, "If we cannot save you this time... we have decided that we are going to kill you both. I am sorry. One way or another, this ends here."
Stuffy frowned. "Ehhh. Maybe, maybe not." She shrugged, and cracked her neck. "Why do you care, is the question."
Maya responded by sprinting forward and bucking Asmo into the wall, but she was then knocked down by a tentacle to the dome. She quickly sprang to her hooves. Dead Pony ran at Stuffy.
Stuffy growled a some in a loud demonic voice, "I have defeated you once, and I can do it again!" She chuckled and then said in a normal voice. "I found out I got a talent."
He went in to give her a haymaker to the jaw. Maya weaved between several tentacles, picked up Asmo, flew up, and slammed him into the ground.
