Here's a sweet remix of Babs Seed I created a couple weeks ago. [SOUNDCLOUD]https://soundcloud.com/menelik-david-kenneth-cannady/babs-seed-20-cooler-super[/SOUNDCLOUD]
I used finale printmusic. It is a MIDI-based program, but, I ran the sound through audio units and put a reverb setting that makes it sound less like a MIDI, and more like a synthesized recording. But yes, the raw file is MIDI.
Nice job with the MIDI sequencing, as well as the writing ... MUSIC NERD MODE-ACTIVATE! The drums aren't reggae. In reggae, the drums play a "one drop" pattern. The bass drum is on the third note, and is usually played with a cross stick or snare on the third beat as well. There isn't a bass drum on the first beat.
