Arlo kissed the top of Val's head as she leaned against his shoulder. She sipped her coffee while reading her phone, a frown on her face.
Landon and Callie entered. Landon had the prints in his hand, and Callie seemed distracted in a bad sense.
Once again there nice pictures of what looked like a protest. It seemed others were angry that they had a set soul mate.
Callie shrugged. "I guess they've heard about how people dying before," she said. "They think something is up."
Arlo frowned, rubbing his chin. "Who could be doing this, though? I mean, we're talking about conspiracy level stuff here."
Val sifted through the pictures. She paused, and looked down at her wrist. "What if... What if there was something in the timers? Something that could specifically target people when their clocks stop?"
