She groaned. "Oh dear God. Landon talks in third person like Elmo, so Landon is no longer 'alright'."
Landon frowned. "Oh no! Yeah.. you're right. It's a little weird. You're talking about Landon- I mean me- as if I'm not here, though."
They entered the cafe and Val shrugged. "Well, thinking too much isn't a bad trait for someone in the arts. But it does make everyday conversation slightly mind boggling."
She frowned at him before stepping up and ordering a doppio. "What do you want?" she asked, turning to him.
She squinted at him before turning back to the cashier. "He'll have a hot chocolate. Thanks." She paid and walked towards a sofa to go wait for their drinks.
She nodded, her eyes closed as she ran her fingers through her hair sleepily. "Okay," she said with a sigh, sitting up and opening her eyes. "Let's look through these."
