“There’s something I haven’t told you.”

 

She gave her a sweet smile before kicking the remote out of her hands. At the same time, her character came around the corner and shot Callie’s.

 

Val laughed deeply, turning her character to shoot another enemy.

“You should have trusted your instincts!”

 

“If you can keep a grip on your remote!”

 

“I’m playing to win, Callie!”

 

“My feet are incredibly skilled; I can’t lose!”

 

Val shrieked with amusement, kicking her leg away.

“Landon! Your girlfriend is cheating!”

 

“At least he has morals!” she said, aiming a kick at her remote again.

 

“I didn’t cheat! I’m just playing a bigger game than you were.”

 

“Yeah!” she said, shooting down an enemy. “That’s part of the game!”
