She pulled into the parking lot and turned off the car before turning to look at him.

"I didn't start this."

"Soulmates, am I right?"

 

"Do you want a place to stay or not?"

He smirked before kissing the tip of her nose.

"Come on, let's head in."

 

She nodded, satisfied.

"Then stop trying to make the mood romantic!"

He kissed the back of it before getting out, coming around to open her door for her.

 

"Uh huh. Sure."

"Of course. Mantis shrimp are very polite."

 

"Ugh!" she retorted in a low voice, mocking his tone.

"They actually can't keep up in aquariums. We can break the glass."

 

"I can glare just as well. You know I can."

"Please don't fall for my siblings."

 

"I do not! Only towards you."

* * *

"If my girlfriend was flirting with shrimp? Yeah, a little bit."

 

"No. I like some people."

He paused before flushing slightly.

"Is that okay?"

 

"But some."

He grinned, obviously delighted.

"I am?"
