He grinned, locking the door. "Quite a bit?" *** She kissed his cheek. "Thats okay. At least we made it out."
She rolled her eyes. "Don't let it go to your head." * * * "And at least we still have our dignity," he agreed.
She sighed with mock irritation, although a rare flush rose on her cheeks. "This shouldn't be such a big deal to you." * * * He kissed her cheek. "We are the champions."
She rolled her eyes, but the flush deepened. "Jesus." * * * "I would belt it, but I want to leave with dignity."
He laughed brightly, heading towards the car with a grin. *** "I mean, at least we'd have each other?"
She sighed, looking down at Jellybean. "He's crazy, my dear friend," she told the cat fondly, following Landon to the car. *** "Sounds like you want me to embarrass myself."
She nodded in agreement, speaking loud enough for Landon to hear. "Yeah. He's crazy. He's kinda cute, though, don't you think? I mean, the view is very nice from back here." * * * He squinted at her. "I can't believe this."
She grinned at him devilishly, kissing the cat's head. "Excuse you. We were having a private conversation here." * * * He frowned. "I can't sing."
"You're just making it so that it will be Mo's fault if it goes wrong." * * * He laughed deeply. "Sing for me, my angel of music!"
