"Dark chocolate isn't bad," he said. "Soil isn't bad. Black marble isn't bad. The night sky isn't bad. All these things can seem so dark but still be great, y'know?" *** She grinned. "Awesome!"
She smirked, glancing at him. "Did you just compare me to soil?" she teased. * * * He looked down at their food and scooted the carrot sticks over to her. "Is this a little anticlimactic?"
She paused before giving him a sheepish smile. "See? That's what I mean. You're... comfortable with being a good person." * * * "Excellent. This is the most excited I've ever been about food in my entire life."
She laughed, relieved. "Are you, now? Even if I scare you?" * * * "Nuggets and carrot sticks shaped like sea creatures!"
She smirked and scooted closer to him, kissing his neck lightly. * * * "So, we'll glue a nugget to craft paper?"
"Really?" she teased, her fingers brushing his jaw. "You sure about that?" * * * "Anemone, I work with kids on a regular basis. At the very least, acknowledge that I know my way around arts and crafts."
She laughed lowly, kissing his jawline. "Another big mistake." * * * "Untrue. Have you seen my work?"
