She pursed her lips. "What if I choose opera?" * * * He laughed slightly, shaking his head. "Nah. I think I was motivated by a need to show off."
She laughed brightly, kissing his cheek. "I'm kidding, Landon. I would never." * * * He glanced over at her, his eyebrows raised in surprise. "What? Cal, I was joking."
"You were seriously considering breaking up with me for a second, weren't you?" * * * He glanced over at her before reaching over and wrapping his arms around her playfully, giving her a big kiss on the cheek. "Sorry."
"Wow. Over something so trivial?" * * * He pulled away from her and continued playing, leaning against her dramatically. "I'm still going to win, though."
"No. I like you too much." * * * "I am," he said, leaning heavily against her with his back, laughing deeply. "You'll see."
"Even if I listened to Christian Rock?" *** She laughed, turning so her back was against his to counter. "No I won't."
"I'm willing to make sacrifices." * * * "I'm going to win and it'll be glorious," he teased, sneaking a kiss onto her cheek.
He laughed, starting up the car. "Yet you dislike tickling?" *** "Don't sound so full of yourself," she joked, a grin on her face.
"You're dating a ridiculous person." * * * She would hear the smile in his voice. "Are you accusing me of lying?"
She smirked before kissing his cheek. "I really like you, Landon." * * * He pushed against her back with his own playfully. "Rude!"
He grinned at her. "I really like you too." *** She laughed, her eyes bright. "This is war, after all!"
