She rested her forehead on his shoulder, closing her eyes contentedly. * * * "All's fair in lo-like and war?"
He kissed the top of her head gently, before turning back to the road. *** She glared at him. "Stop making fun of me."
Her breathing gradually slowed and she drifted off, her hand on his arm. * ** "I can't help it! It's too easy."
When they pulled into the parking lot, she was still asleep. * * * "What can I say? You lo-like a mean guy."
He turned to her, brushing back her hair. "Val?" *** "Yeah," she muttered, killing his character, "I can tell."
She murmured before her eyes fluttered. "Hm?" * * * He gasped in protest, leaning against her. "How cruel!"
She murmured before sitting up, stretching slightly. "Mm. Sorry." * * * "I don't deserve this cruel of a treatment!"
She kissed his cheek before getting out of the car, reaching for his hand. "I'm excited about this, actually." * * * "Nuh uh! I'm a good person!"
She chuckled before kissing the back of his hand. "We can figure it out." * ** "But you've emotionally hurt me."
