He laughed, the sound deep from his chest.

"Are you just going to come dressed head to toe in snow clothes?"

 

"Self-designed?" he teased

 

"Don't forget," he reminded her. "I have to see some of your work."

 

"Yes, I do," he said. "Don't worry. I'm your soulmate. There's no way I won't like them."

 

"You owe me," he pointed out. "You're wearing my coat."

 

"You could," he agreed. "But you've already borrowed it at this point. All I ask in return is to see your designs."

 

"Eventually is a non-commital word."

 

"Soon has the same problem. I need commitment, Callie."

 

He nodded with satisfaction.

"Thank you."

 

He put his hands on his hips.

"Are we heading out now?"
