(Do we want to have interactions with the original couples? Like Arlo and Val and Landon and Callie?)
Val's nose was pink, and Arlo kissed the tip of it before wrapping his scarf around her neck. She frowned but looked up him lovingly. "Scarves don't go with leather jackets, you know," she teased. "Hm. Neither does frostbite," he retorted, grinning down at her. She sighed and reached up to kiss him, her fingers grazing his neck. He smiled against her lips. "You're kissing me because you know I'm right." "Hmph. We'll see."
Landon kissed Callie neck as she sat in her chair, wrapped in a thick blanket. She was hunched over fabrics, and Landon shook his head. "You should be in bed," he said softly, rubbing her back. "It'll pass," she mumbled, her voice hoarse. "Even if I'm in bed or not." "Well," he replied quietly. "Don't do this the whole time I'm gone. I want you to feel better.." She turned to face him, a reassuring smile on her face. "I'll be okay. I love you." He couldn't help but grin. "I love you too. I'll see you soon."
Val sipped on her coffee in the cafe, frowning slightly as she flipped the newspaper. Arlo was reading a book, distractedly running his fingers through her hair.
Landon joined them hurriedly, checking his watch as he sat across from them. "I apologize if I kept you waiting.."
"Don't worry," Arlo said cheerfully. "We haven't been waiting long." Val sat up straight and folded the newspaper. "You and I are going to break into the hospital," she said bluntly.
Arlo frowned at her and opened his mouth to speak, but Val cut through. "There's something wrong with these timers, and we need to see what they look like on infants. Since I'm not pregnant and neither are you, we need to find another way to get in."
Arlo opened his mouth to speak, stopped, and then closed it again. "So we're all agreed. Landon and I are breaking into the hospital?"
